Well that's just one of the many categories she targets....not for nothing is she hailed as the most hated woman in UK

I genuinely do not find her funny in any way shape or form ever. I am not knocking those that do but I find it very difficult to empathise.

Both of these are, of course, a total nonsense.

All this told me was that some people have such an over the top, irrational dislike even hatred for her that they will ignore any evidence/ testimony to the contrary, and cannot look at their panto villain/ evil person with any sense of perspective whatsoever.

When compared to the other HM's like Kav, or Calum etc she's is head and shoulders above them re wit and intellect, and people that slam Hopkins for having no humour cannot for the life of them justify it, especially when comparing her to these type of housemates.

Trying to debate with some of the more rabid anti Hopkins types is akin to banging your head against a brick wall, so good luck with this one OP. ”

Comparing Katie's wit to Kav or Calum is like saying "at least Chloe is better looking than Katie Hopkins". Chloe is a model, KH is not so comparisons would be moot. Katie Hopkins is paid to be witty. Kav and Calum are not.

And you weren't "jumped on" in that thread. There were some individuals who disagreed with the relevance of your line of argument. Just as I'm now doing.

Well this kind of backs up my point.

Some people seem almost desperate to make the claim that Hopkins is not funny at all, which is a preposterous stance to take as clearly many have stated they do find her funny, and as you say humour is subjective.

The comparison thing is also entirely valid. If they berate Hopkins for not being intelligent and not having any sense of humour, then how do they come to this conclusion, especially when compared to a Kav or Calum in there?
Where does she rank in the house on intelligence and wit? For me I'd say pretty damn high up in comparison, on both fronts. I put this to her critics and asked some people to explain, and not one person could..

All this does is highlight the fact that some people are just looking to criticise her regardless and that they leave perspective and balance and reason at the door when it comes to the wicked witch of the west.

Sussed?? She was delighted that she got him angry and was, no doubt, hoping he might get evicted if he erupted. It was an occasion where he took her bait....for once!

Incidentally, to call Hopkins funny is a bit like saying Hitler was a vegetarian.....very much a side issue to the main demeanor.

Funny isn't a word I would use in relation to KH, ever. The deliberate belittling tone of voice and the way she uses endearments like 'sweetie' and 'darling' as if she's speaking to a two year old are incredibly grating. I take my hat off to anyone who can be on the receiving end of that and not punch her right in the face.

Ha...well said! Yes, have felt that way about her but also Perez when he does the provocative tongue flappy thing too at someone.

Because people don't believe Callum or Kav are trying to be funny. just like we'd be more likely to ask if Perez or Keith was funny than we would Katie P or Patsy - because those are the characters that people believe are trying to be funny. Callum and Patsy are more likely to be compared in the category of 'who is the better peacemaker' or 'who is more friendly' or even 'the most boring'.... different people have different 'assets' or characteristics that are more likely to be compared. And it's probably a good thing that so many believe Katie H is trying to be funny (even though they don't find her funny). Because if she's not, we can only presume that her unnecessary insulting comments she makes about people publicly, only come from nastiness and not humour and that she just enjoys making people feel bad about themselves?

I find Keith much funnier,, and his laughs aren't at the expense of others.

Keith is a relevant comparison in that his job relies on him having a sense of humour and like Katie, he's actually trying to be funny. And I think he's funnier. His 'old chestnut' gags remind me of my dad, they make me groan but are good-natured.

I also find Perez's antics and one liners funnier and he's in a similar line to Katie But I appreciate this is a VERY subjective 'marmite' opinion.

Yes, sussed. She knows he uses the Rule Book to push his goading as far as he can without getting himself evicted- Perez turns things back on the HMs, and plays the victim - and runs to the diary room, Katie confronts him, there's the difference.

And some actually do find things Katie H says funny.
Comparing Katie H to Hitler ............
.I don't think so.........

My points are still 100% valid.

To those who think she is not intelligent at all and not humerous at all, tell me where she ranks with regard to the other housmates in there. And I do mean all of them.

Every other housemate is valid when outlandish nonsensical claims such as 'she has no humour at all ' are made.

To pretend that it's only relevant to try and compare her to other 'funny' housemates is a total nonsense and all they are doing is validating my points

As far as I am concerned she is far more intelligent and far funnier than Kav or Calum and indeed the majority in there.

If anyone can demonstrate how all the others are more intelligent (and I do mean all) and more humorous then perhaps they might even have the beginning of an argument, but as it stands it's just hot air.

I'm inclined to believe that she genuinely does enjoy making people feel bad about themselves, and dresses it up as tough love.

Perhaps she deludes herself into thinking she only attacks targets that deserve it and she's actually doing them a favour in telling them where they are going wrong, but that's a matter of opinion, and in her case, degree.

If someone irritates you verbally, does that then entitle you to drop the equivalent of a nuclear bomb on them? No. It's massively disproportionate.

100% right and a good post and this secret room protection of him is a joke , its also the reason why bb did not dare open the phone lines again after the top two were saved - it then would have been in effect a vote to evict , and he would have been straight out the door

Katie H to win

The tweet was somebody's tweet - much like posting on here - where somebody interpreted what they heard and put their own spin on it. It was a genuine tweet, not necessarily the genuine words or intent behind what he may or may not have said.

Having read a few of the links put up about her recently, it seems she has been a single parent - her ex walked out on her and her child the day after she gave birth. So, she really does have no excuse for the crap she spouts about single parents but her obvious lack of empathy wouldn't allow for any sympathy or understanding from KH.

It's funny watching people applying the 'bully' label to KH, I think some need to watch the series from the start again.

Parez was gunning for KH from day one, and Nadia was from day minus one!

Katie has, if anything, shown that she is the absolute wrong person to poke with a stick, Please don't try and turn this around to make Perez and Nadia the victims, they are very much the 'would be' bullies who met their match. Nothing more.

By you own logic though unless you can prove Hopkins is more intelligent or humorous in comparison to other housemates (all of them, not some) then you don't have an argument either.

Just equally as much "Hot Air"

Oh, I disagree totally. Perez is starting to become hilarious. Hopkins is constantly trying to wind him up and Perez just soaks up her attempts and then launches them back at her. She's way out of her depth. Hopkins isn't as intelligent as she thinks she is. She doesn't realise that the best weapon of choice against Perez is to completely ignore him. Every single time she starts mouthing off at him she's giving him exactly what he wants. She really isn't very bright.
