Does anyone know where I can get some of this? When you buy frites in Europe, especially in Germany, Holland and Belgium, you get this delicious mayonaisse from a squirtable jar and it is delicious. I have never been able to obtain this in England. Hellimans comes nowhere comes near. Suggestions anyone???

I don't know about the German mayo but I use a Japanese mayo - it's much creamier and less eggy tasting than Hellmans. Not sure if that's more what you're after? If you google 'Kewpie' mayo it shows you what it looks like. You can get it online but if you have a decent Marks and Spencers near you, they sell it in the world food bit. It's quite pricey but I find that one of the bottles lasts me ages.

Have you looked in Aldi or Lidl? They sell a lot of european stuff, also they have the occasional "German week" when they sell more German products.

Have you tried making it yourself?
Usually condiments like that are a basic mayo with other things added.

e.g. 'Burger sauce' is basically mayo & ketchup.
other variations add mustard and sometimes chopped pickles etc.

I find that if you add a little squirt of salad cream to mayo it tastes a bit like the McChicken Sandwich mayo.

Try a few combos and see what you come up with.

If I remember the difference between some of those foreign mayos is that they dont taste as vinegary as Hellmans and the likes, I suspect there is very little lemon juice in them, so just the oil, egg yolk and a little acid, not very much.
