Apart from what has already been mentioned here you also have to remember your hearing and viewing select edits of who says what..you have no idea what other conversations took place about it..that is why a live feed is important so when a highlight show only shows part of a conversation those who watched the live feed can report back the full conversation and context so we get the fuller picture.
HL show has even been known to show conversations out of order which was always picked up when we had a live feed.

The text was one person's highly subjective interpretation of an interview in the Sun which itself may have been twisted or "spiced up". It certainly doesn't stand up as "objective" truth.
