Could they just flat out lie about the results of the Perez vote?

I think it's fair to say the the credibility of Big Brother as a fair show is all but dead, with the desperate attempts by producers to save specific housemates in the past, unfair twists and so on.

But would they, or could they just flat out lie about the voting results? It's quite interesting that THIS vote is free of charge, resulting in no legal backlash if it ever did come out that they lied.

Personally, i wouldn't be surprised.

sadly I think you coul be right. The producers have played the public for fools and will stoop to anything to keep Perez in that house .

It was in no particular order.

Anyone with 2 or more nominations is up automatically.

Since it's an app vote, is there even a regulator who could find or otherwise punish C5 if BB did lie about the vote?

In any case, I'm not convinced that app voting hasn't been compromised. How could C5 be sure it hasn't? During the previous CBB, C5 even had to put out a warning that there was an unoffocial app that was falsely claiming it was vote to evict. (See this thread.)

When did BB say that was how it worked? It didn't seem to be how it worked the last time there were nominations.

well to me only Patsy and Nadia should have been up as those 2 had the most votes, katie was lagging behind in 3rd place so in theory should not have been up at all....

Understand Perez got to pick another out of the other who had been nominated by BB was making rules up on who was up for eviction, they would only put a 3rd person up if they had the same number of votes - total BS!!!

No-one from BB. I believe they are handled by an outside company.

They've changed it in recent years to include the three with the most votes. It's been like that for a while. Nothing new or fixed for this year.

No, they change it from round to round. Cami Li had 2 noms last week and wasn't up.

That hasn't been said from the app - they probably have got Alicia to do so she can practice her adding up.

It's listed on the app as a poll, not a vote, and it's free. Draw your own conclusions from that.

I'm not sure they could flat out lie but there are ways round things to get the result they want. I fully expect Perez to get a pass to the final.

They did it last year with Ashleigh.

There was a poll asking us if the powerhousemate was to return, who would we pick. Ashleigh got the most votes, BUT the thing is that poll was just for fun. Once they found out the result they changed it from a what if poll to a genuine one. At no point did they say that that poll was going to decide the next power housemate.

Now what get's me annoyed is that pretty much everyone on here didn't give a damn because it involved the forum fave. Now if they fix this poll with Perez the forum will no doubt go mad. The thing is, you would have only yourselves to blame. You pick and choose when Big Brother is wrong. You can't accept one thing and not the other, it makes you look like hypocrites.

BB has not always used "the three or more" in recent years. For instance, BB sometimes changes it to everyone with at least 2 nominations, as they seem to have done this time:

I can't access the app from here, have any of you voted, I am wondering if they show the % of votes so far or are they keeping the tally to themselves

Im 100% positive that is what they will do.
You think they would have mentioned at the end of tonights show about the poll to give perez immunity, Its a pretty big thing.

I think the normal eviction and to-win votes are overseen by Electoral Reform Services, but don't know whether they're involved in app votes or polls like this one.

But in any case, I wonder what's actually done when votes "have been counted and verified". What's the verification? It clearly isn't contacting all voters to check whether their votes were counted correctly. So what is it?
