Android Face time
The one thing I miss with having android is face time is there any equivalent service on Android now or soon

I don't see FaceTime (or even a way to use FaceTime without iOS) being available for Android anytime soon... |

Funny I watched this on my Youtube subscriptions just 20 minutes ago.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFtTpB5rJRs No, it was originally the plan that it would be an open standard but either Apple changed their mind, or patents prevented it. The most popular thing seems to be Skype on Android for video calls. |

Google hangouts does work a little like facetime, but in my experience the video quality is poor and the audio is always way out of sinc.
Skype works ok but is useless to me as it needs to be permanently open in the background on iPad for anyone to be able to contact you so is not very reliable. I'm waiting for Facebook to introduce some form on FaceTime type system, but nothing yet.. |
