Do you know that? How? Inside knowledge?

I actually think it's a pre-requisite these days. I think the room was on standby for any potential situation in the house and to give the producers room for manoevre. I think if it was leaked that Perez was in on it all along there would be a public backlash.
That room was probably a task room and they just made it into living quarters..

Maybe, just a theory.

They should have opened the door no way would he have walked and it would have been great to watch him climb down and make excuses to stay

Agree - there are big characters in there (or people they thought would be bigger than they have turned out to be - Michelle/Katie P) so a room that's ready gives them plenty of options. For me a secret room is a bit boring and the aftermath will always pale into insignificance after "fight night"

"Big brother is sorry you feel the need to leave, therefore the door on your left is open for you". Then watch him backtrack.

Not sure if this has been speculated but I imagine that tonight's show was intended to end with "what the housemates don't know is that you're not voting for the next eviction, you're voting who you want to see enter the secret house!". Tonight would have been the vote. Tomorrow would have been a fake eviction. Then whoever it would have been would have gone straight back into the secret room and returned in Friday's Live Show.

Of course, as Perez is Channel 5's meal ticket they'll stretch and bend the already dubious "rules" in order to keep him in. It is after all a ratings game and we've seen these tactics used endlessly. An exciting nominations twist by Big Brother would be to have a week where... There is.. No... Twist. And the two (or 3 or 4+) with the highest votes are up for nomination. That would be the biggest shocker of them all.

I honestly think this was all pre planned, Perez never wanted to leave it was all set up by BB and Perez was in on it! His reaction to the secret room was not how you would expect...very bad acting on his part!

I'm so glad Perez got to go in the room and not Katie H and I can't stand the pair of them
She is so contrived with her observations about people. She is tedious.

Get the B**** out.

I definately think the room was intended for a voting twist and then when Perez threatened to leave they panicked and shoved him in, its likely Perez would have gone in there anyway on Tuesdays eviction

Here's a thought what would have happened had the other HMs had sussed what was going on called BBs Bluff and Nominated Perez.

I would guess it was supposed to happen next weekend with the housemate returning to the house next Tuesday when the "aftermath" show is scheduled.

Emma Kennedy the Psychologist was also interesting when she said Perez really did want to win the show and didn't want to leave. She also said that both Nadia and Cami did too but now they realise they aren't contenders they want to leave. She also said the only one truly wanting to leave was Patsy so thats very interesting. Perez even swore on his fathers grave and also on his sons life he wanted to leave but she said he didn't at all

the room was already set up god forbid they have a new idea and it seems to me perez gets what he wants from BB and looks like he will get a pass to the final why not just crown him winner and put this farse to bed

I think it was all completely staged. From Perez.s threat to walk, to his terrible acting in the diary room, and BB's bad acting too. The staged walkout itself was so unbelievable, I'm shocked they all believed it. Why would he pack his suitcases, and then not leave out the diary room? Why did nobody question that? They all know he's desperate to win as well.
