I think it's shocking the way they are controlling the way the show is going... I predict it will turn viewers and fans off the show...

Why? The main show has been scripted for years now...

This is why I never understand why older big brother fans take a high and mighty attitude over the likes of TOWIE and geordie shore.

Current bb is based on these shows

BB are spoiling the show.. they`re basically giving Perez a free pass to the final. Why can`t they just leave it as it`s meant to be NOMINATIONS. It`s like a footy ref saying to the home team "Would you rather have 1 free goal or 2 free penalties"

They did the same with Helen Woods (immunity from being nominated) and she won it....(cough) rigged (cough) So many were disappointed with that (myself included). Do they think that leaving it to the public to decide may render the winner less spectacular?

I don't really understand the motive for the rigging. There was a rumour that Helen Woods was with a BB related agency, so was a moneyspinner for them after the show? Anyone got a theory on why they rig it?

I think it'll turn long term BB fans who want a less meddled with show (as it'sg oing in the opposite direction many hoped)..but you only need to look at the forum to see how accepting many people are in regards to the scripted format now.

I have less issue if housemates were given these twists based on a roll of a dice..it's the fact it's handed to a specific individual by the producers that seems so wrong.

The problem is that it''s the script for the wrong show. The Perez Show.

I totally agree with Randysback on this point. Perez was allowed to hound-out Alex without offering him any reprieve but the Producers have given Perez a timeout from Katie H and allowed him to dodge nominations... It's a fix

Personally (and I'm basically making it up as I go along because I don't have a clue) I think it's mostly risk-management. If the main show was a free-for-all like it's advertised, literally anything could happen, any situation could develop, and that is very very risky for a television production company. Sh*t could get seriously expensive if it went wrong with damaging consequences for individuals who then sued, for example.

For me its not about that. Its about taking money off voters for something that may be rigged at least they don't do that on the other shows. To me that is so wrong!

The very reason why the LF was put to rest.

I have watched every single episode of Big Brother from day one and I have never voted, no one is forced to vote, just watch the show like I do and keep commenting on it if you like this way you wont feel cheated, well not cheated out of your money anyway

The Perez pass has really annoyed me, not because of the receiver but no one should gain preferential treatment and pass go.

Let's be honest here if someone knows they have a pass ie Helen their unacceptable and irritating behaviour will only increase leaving the viewers and voters with no choice to evict this hm. The viewers should decide every week who they feel deserves to stay, the house changes too quickly for a fixed pass to the final. Makes me question if Perez has an actual condition regarding the final in his contract.

NO ONE, NO ONE SHOULD GAIN A PASS TO FINAL NIGHT!!!!!

Plus it's unfair having just internet voters decide on Perez fate what about many older viewers? It's simply because they know the younger voters will keep him to annoy the hms.

That's just it, it'd be more understandable if the viewers decided on which hm to reward but no bb pick their golden hm and we have option shit or option shitter to choose between.

Let's be honest this is for money nothing more if he's up every week many will vigorously vote for him week on week, if he who s a pass many will go out of their way to vote so that he doesn't undeservingly win or be in a high finishing position come the final night.

All this interference and manipulation is belittling as a long term fan.

Without bbs support and backing Helen would've never won bb as she'd have left months beforehand.

I thought Perez's tweet was a screw up.
I think the Perez secret room is a screw up.
I think the pass to final or noms each week is another screw up.

Spoils it - just let it unfold as it will.

Thanks for this post in reply to my question WHY BB would rig the winner. BB has total control so what you say about "anything could happen" doesn't really sound like it's the reason.

I recall a previous BB where 2 HMs returned to the main house (having eavesdropped from a private room) and there was such a set to that security and police were called. I am sure BB learnt a lot from that since they seem to have strategies in place now to dispel any build up of tension.

Do you mean risk management with the BB winner after the show? Surely they are not accountable then, unless they think their behaviour would sully BB's image....further!

I would like to again ask this question - to get more feedback - since I feel it is a crucial issue. WHY DOES BB WANT TO RIG THE FINAL WINNER?

Because they will get more coverage out of Perez winning than Calum Best

It's not scripted at all. Viewers have a chance to make him face eviction every week!

Ah I see....that reason escaped me. Seems plausible. Thanks.
