App Poll - Hack?

Can the poll be taken seriously with it being so easy to vote as many times as you want with a little fiddling with the settings??

There will be sad people multi voting for both options so it should even itself out. Don't worry about it.

Why did Emma keep saying we could vote on the website? I thought it was only people who had the app that could vote?

You can only vote once I'm sure.

Anyone with basic knowledge of how data is stored on their phone can vote as many times as they want. Maybe 30 votes per minute...

Let's befare can ANYTHING BB related be taken seriously, more so than ever after this so transparent twist, I really hope now the viewers see the way C5 are running this show, and with this insight refuse to spend anymore money paying to vote. IMO loss of revenue is the only way the producers are going to take notice of what the public think and want.

It's a load of bull anyway ,as the Producers will close the vote as soon as they get the answer they want so it doesn't really matter how many times people vote

But will it only count 1 vote per IP address?
256 votes from the same IP address could well get filtered down to a single valid vote.
That wouldn't exactly be difficult to implement either.

True but if 5 people are connected to one WiFi connection would each of their votes count or just the first?

Nope it is done using a GUID which is saved locally. Delete and restart. The app will respawn a new GUID and you can vote again. But honestly you'd have to be quite sad to do it.

As I understand it, it's per device but I don't think they put in place a way to read a phones identity so multi votes wouldn't be included, so with a little magic you can vote it seems multiple times,

Same with not accepting cookies and having a g15 keyboard automate a mouse click so you can upvote or downvote posts, which obviously I would never do.
