Manipulation of audience

I actually think the worse manipulation was the Speidi series in which everything showed Rylan in a good light. All the tasks were totally Rylan-centric, he was in the middle of everything. Even tasks that were not about him kind of were like the Frankie the dictator task which was really about Rylan leading the resistance, and the Spiedi webchat which was all about Rylan asking the questions. The edit was mostly in his favour. It was as though he'd already signed up to present BOTS before he entered the house.

This series seems a bit more balanced. Katie came off rather well in the first week, sadly she turned back to her bullying ways that made her famous in the first place and Perez has ended up looking good as a result.

Jim and Denise got mostly good edits but the camera didn't shy away from their more unsavoury moments e.g. Jim's lecherous remarks to Casey and Denise de-bagging Karissa.

Perhaps it may have to do with a new influx of teens every year getting interested in BB.

They don't know the history and are not street wise enough yet to see the manipulation.

There are many who used to watch this show in the early days now don't recognise it as BB anymore.

I'm sure there was a certain amount of manipulation in the begining, but not as much. I think BB4 was allowed to become so boring (manipulation in the wrong way) that BB has gone too extreme each and every year since.
