Sounds good already. Do you know when it starts? I thought I read the Canadian one is in March.

Thanks for the tips.

Canada starts in spring, can't wait. US starts in September I think. You'll love them both, I'm sure. If you need places to watch I'm happy to supply websites.

Not that I've noticed but then there's practically no swearing/booing etc. It's just more fun with less interference/manipulation. Housemates still fall out occasionally but it's natural, it makes things far more interesting. The nomination process is far better too, you never know who will be put up for eviction. If any housemate is caught talking about nominations BB deals with it properly. It's fairer. Big Brother also has a wicked sense of humour so it can be really funny at times. I'd highly recommend it to anyone struggling with the current uk format.

Thank you, that would be great.

Having watched all of the BBAU series now, I have to say 2013 was the best series I have ever seen from either there or here. All of them were great though, I wish we would follow their format.

In order to watch now, one has to accept that it is in effect a scripted reality show and that is heavily edited, & manoeuvred to favour the chosen winner. Giving people passes to the final....come on.....blatant as the nose on yer face. And what an horrendous winner that gave us. Worst ever imo.”

I skipped a year after Josie Gibson, then the last one after three episodes because I could see what was going to happen and how foul it would be. Was so glad I did. So know what you mean.
The BB we loved has gone. I still enjoy CBB because that's obviously semi-scripted panto, so there's more room for clowns, maniacs, show offs and know-it-alls.

This thread made me start to search US BB i.e. to see if I can watch it online....anyone know if I can? There seem some odd excerpts on youtube but not the whole show. I only have freeview on digital TV

Anyhow, I came across this that might interest some here...what some US BB HMs say about our BB

I'm just half way through that one now. Even though I know who wins (because the winner turned up in the 2014 series) it's still a great watch.

I agree I wish we would follow that format too. It's a shame they have to mess around so much and constantly create situations which cause arguments. That's all it seems to be nowadays.

BBAU 2013 was so good I am currently watching it again.

I felt she was a controversial winner who split opinion. That's what we want to see now. The days of boring people like Luke A and Sam winning Big Brother are long gone. We like to see a bit more from housemates these days. Jim Davidson, Helen Wood and Gary Busey are the last three winners and all three were controversial characters who split opinion.

I can see why. A couple of other posters on here said it was the best one so I thought it was worth a look. I'm so hooked now.

What have we done in the UK to deserve the crappest BB?

If we try to imagine the worst, most lazy and unimaginative possible implementation of the BB format, that's pretty much what CH5 serve up.
