Wait KP is shoving Harvey down our throats, now she has a great opportunity to milk it, it's better than the papers.

We should be campaigning to get these schools reopened .”

It's because they wanted the kids to be accommodated in Mainstream Schools. So many SEN kids are let down by the system. We should be happy with the kids aren't being let down and celebrate that they are picked up.
Many SEN kids end up in over priced Private Specialist Schools as LEA Specialist Placements are over prescribed.
Such a hard slog for parents to find the right school and get the SEN Dept to agree to the placements often ending in tribunal and sometimes many tribunals without getting anywhere.

Lets all disclose the perks in life we receive shall we.....I get working tax credits. I get help with my rent. Should I ask Hopkins if it's ok with her the total vomit stain.”

Pay no mind to Hopkins, keep your chin up.

Can I have a glass of wine?

I suppose, unless you know anyone involved you wouldn't know the extent of the closures. This started years ago. David Cameron's poor little boy was disabled. You'd think there'd be some compassion there and he and his party would do something effective to turn it around. I have no idea about country wide changes but in my area nothing's happened.

Good for Pricey getting this statement out. She has good people looking after her and knows the media. As for Hopkins, words fail me.

I only wish the absolute best for the kid.

Seems tasteless that we are even discussing it.

That's unfair. Katie has her faults but I've never seen her 'shoving Harvey ' in any way.

I do wonder how these long daily journeys impact a kid like that. I know that I struggle with long journeys and that's just me...

Well exactly. Harvey will always be dependent on his mum so it's not as if she won't be paying for him. It's a shame people can't grasp the basics here.

I think it's sad that Katie Price's family have even had to issue this statement.

Your quite right it's a shame people would rather moan about a problem than get together and try and change it

As a grandma to a child with special needs you should know how wide the autistic spectrum is and how many other disabilities / ilnesses might also be present and compound the problem.

It is likely that due to his severity he has to go to a very specialist school and its likely that even other autisic children in his local area might not get funding to it because they might not have the complexity of multiple disabilities or health needs all in one go. Maybe the local school is MLD and the kids that go on the mini bus are all within 30 mins and they are high functioning and can deal with the mini bus? Maybe the local school can't also deal with a child who is blind etc So how will the mini bus work for a specialist school so far? If its just him in that area, are they mean to go pick up people 30 mins away, 60 mins away and just make his drive even further than the already 90 mins?

I hope you get the best for your grandson, it must be very tough. Take care

If the program was offered/made available to Katy P and her son Harvey then she has every right to take advantage of it. Costs for people like Harvey are often excessive, but I personally am glad to see my tax money going to making their lives more comfortable.
