This country needs a voice?

So let me get this straight, she means a voice for gay people?

Has anybody told her that gay people can get married in this country?

It isn't just about marriage, we still aren't afforded the same rights as heterosexuals.

I didn't realise until tonight quite how desperate Michelle is to win First Katie H tells us how much Michelle wants to win and now we hear it from Michelle herself. No wonder she's so pissed Perez is back, she was probably convinced she could avoid nomination when her team had the numbers, but now his return throws that into confusion. It's in her interest to make Perez look as bad as possible and that's exactly what I expect her to try and do.

This country has a voice, and that voice is Graham Norton's.

I never said it would. My comment was to someone saying about same sex marriage, as though it was difinitive that we are now considered totally equal. I was just pointing out that it isn't the case, we still fight for other rights that are afforded to others.

As a gay man, and therefore a self-appointed representative of the gay community I want to say that I am horrified that this woman has been allowed to come on our tv screens and put our cause back 50 years.

Do you think Michelle's going to deliver further equality for LGBT people in Britain?

What has she done in the show to further the LGBT cause, except wear a slogan t-shirt, and actively try to isolate a Gay man ?

Interesting comments on here. I had never heard of Michelle before now but instantly liked her on the opening night and had high hopes. She's been such a disappointment. It's clear that she's seriously underestimated her beloved 'British public'. If she really knew what we were like, she'd know that one thing we hate more than anything is a boastful know-it-all who thinks they've got it all in the bag ..... oh wait.... there's a flaw in my logic there....

I'm gay and I'm repulsed at the very thought of her speaking on behalf of me. She should come to a gay club with me sometime or perhaps a gay pride event. If she doesn't approve of Perez's behaviour, then I take it she doesn't approve of the antics that go on at these events either.

I had no idea who Michelle was until she entered on Launch night ,but must say i quite liked her ,but after that pathetic speech ,i've gone right off her

That's not strictly true re blood donation but you're right that this country is far from perfect where equality is concerned.

There's a very good reason for that. The gay population has an extremely high amount of people with HIV. Even if they test people before they give blood, HIV can be in your blood but not show up until months later. It's too much of a risk.

Michelle is totally the leader of all gays as long as they don't represent a threat to her winning a reality TV show. I hope all gays totally appreciate that she's 'kind of' behind them the rest of the time, and they no longer need to have any opinions at all or represent themselves as she is doing all that shit as long as you don't try to hog her media time.

Gay clubs are full of straight married men who accidentally walked in, I've seen police academy. Pride is just an excuse for me to kiss a member of the village people.

You are totally right though she's living in a different era, not one I can remember though it's like a twisted version of her reality mixed in with 50's onwards propaganda.

Michelle is such a kill joy. It's been all down hill for her since she cried and ranted in the Diary room.
