So you have nothing to tempt me, only empty rhetoric - I thought so.
Tempt you

I have no interest whatsoever trying to get someone to buy something they don't want. It was you the mentioned ios was easier to use.

Why would you want to be tempted, do you think you made the wrong choice with you current phone?

Can you not comprehend the possibility that individual people find different things easy or difficult?

He could give you a list of things he finds easier and you could then say "oh, but I find them easier on android/WP8/Tizen/series40" and just contribute further to your trolling.

Just like an airline pilot might struggle to operate a nuclear submarine and a submarine commander a Boeing 747, different ideas from different people...

Why not just give up with your little mission?

For the same reason people buy stuff on credit all the time - smaller initial outlay.

I know you're having difficulty with the whole idea that different people do things differently to you, to have a different preference or opinion to you.

But the fact is that many people just won't share your opinions and preferences.
I did use the words financial acumen. You are providing an example of the opposite.

I'm not expecting to change anyone's opinion. That does not impact on the fact that what I claim is for the most part correct.

I think most people realise that, it's called trolling...

But you are comparing apples with pears whereas I'm comparing like with like I.e. Smartphones running similar operating systems.

Pretty poorly thought through response on your part if you don't mind me saying.

I'm talking about tempting me with the virtues of iOS not a phone, but then you know that.

Not very good at this are you?

Purchasing decisions are complicated affairs. There are many other reasons why someone might choose a contract - e.g. in a husband/wife situation it might be easier to get a contract through the financial police

Are you as obtuse in real life? I'm not arguing individual models, I'm criticising your idiocy in saying that anyone spending £500+ on ANY phone is a mug and a sucker.

By the way, even while I would disagree with your comparison of the budget version Z3 compact as a direct comparison to the iPhone 6, the current price of the Z3 compact at both Sony and CPW is actually £429, so hardly a huge difference to the iPhone 6, especially considering the differences in after sales service.
Try Amazon - £369 and I've seen them cheaper than that. Dixons/CPW prices, phew! No wonder you are happy to be financially mugged.

Not very good at this do you think this is some sort of game site.

I'll repeat, you said iOS was easier to use. What more reason do you want.

You really can't be that stupid, can you not understand I'm not asking you to google for bargain basement prices?

How difficult is it to understand that Apple, Sony, Samsung etc ALL sell their high end phones for over £500? It isn't unique to any single maker. It really doesn't matter if Sony sell a bargain version of their flagship or that I can buy a phone cheaper from Amazon, Hong Kong or the USA.

Troll or ignorant idiot, which is it?

Yes, pertinent points indeed would be nice.
Like highlighting something anything so called 'misleading' with a 'more accurate' account.
Misleading: People lost data after iCloud had its security breached.

More accurate: People lost data after other people correctly guessed their password.

Do you think you are the arbiter of what should and should not be posted, bizarre?

Perhaps the very fact all KidPie posts end with the usual immediate dismissal and subsequent request for explanation is the issue. If some actual pertinent points were made you may be right, unfortunately you are not.
No, I don't think I'm the arbiter of anything. Its just stuff I'm pretty sure is covered in the T&Cs.

The pertinent point here is that this whole notion that most people buy iPhones because they have somehow been tricked or conned is utter nonsense, peddled by people who seem incapable of understanding that other people don't share their preferences or opinions.

T&C's what a bizarre thing to raise, although does make some things clearer.

Perhaps you can show me where pointing out that two people make the same posts time after time stifling any possible debate is listed then.

I accept you are struggling to put forward a coherent argument but resorting to rudeness diminishes no one but yourself.

The point is the Apple product is a walled garden and that includes pricing. With the OEMs one has more freedom therefore the prices are more competative.

I informed you that a phone of equal quality, flexibility and ease of use to the iPhone is available at a highly competative price and you cannot appear to accept this might be true.

You then come up with a price firstly for a different model then find the most expensive price you can find for the model I mention in order to bolster your own flagging argument.

I have simply shown you the price that most savvy users would likely pay and you resort to rudeness and accusations of trolling.

You really do have some nerve.

Which has sweet FA to do with what you said.

Let's remind you

Not sure how the buyer can claim to be a winner when they have just had their wallet mugged.

Mind you they say there's one born every minute.

Nothing to do with android alternatives, nothing to do cheaper models. You were simply trolling for a reaction with stupid comments about Apple, but being too ignorant to realise that all the big makers charger similar prices at the top end.

you have almost both morphed into the same person, not sure which version would be worse though
And just try and find a post where they showed any genuinely informative interest in Apple themselves.

People masseurs ?
Maybe its just me, but this sort of stuff comes across as pointless nonsense which adds nothing to the discussion.

Maybe you're right, and its exactly the sort of quality discussion we should all be striving for.

Is there anything I've said in this thread you actually disagree with?

So empty rhetoric to match empty wallet (after iPhone purchase)

You simply cannot accept that there are more financial friendly products out there that will provide just the same level of quality service that an iPhone will.

You also cannot accept that for a significant amount of people buying an iPhone is nothing more than a lifestyle choice, bragging rights etc. Independent research has confirmed this again and again. Note I do not say everyone but 'significant'.

As an owner of many Apple products myself I realise that all the guff spouted about eco systems etc. is nothing more than slick marketing speak. Regurgitating it ad-infinitum is simply embarrassing.

As seen by an empty head.

and you simply can't accept that there are many people with more money than you who also value the added service and after sales service that Apple offer which in their opinion is the item they want.

There are also many other people with more spending power than you who make the decision that spending £500+ for a sim free Galaxy Note 4 or Xperia Z3 is a good idea.

Not everyone is as ignorant and penny pinching as you are who is satisfied with a second tier product, if everyone was, we wouldn't see £500+ handsets, unfortunately that point seems too difficult for you to understand.

If everyone thought as you do, the Moto G would probably be the best selling handset in the world...

I would say a very significant amount of people only buy android phones because they are cheap. Independent research has confirmed this time and again.

I'm sure you're going to link this independent research that has 'confirmed it time and time again'. No doubt you're going to be meticulous and find something credible and scientific.

How can there be 'bragging rights' (whatever the hell that means) if the choice is so mass market and common millions of people have made the same choice? Does 'bragging rights' in your world mean 'common'?

Also how exactly is your choice of smartphone going to affect your lifestyle? How would it differ by choosing another brand?

Totally ridiculous response. You have no knowledge of my financial situation yet you make a sweeping unsubstantiated statement.

You also appear to ignore the fact I own many Apple products so how does your assertion about service stack up.

I know several quite wealthy people who are incredibly penny pinching. In fact showing off conspicuous wealth is rather crass.

I don't like large screen phones hence my reference to Compacts - at competitive prices.

TBH your posts are getting hysterical and to be taken with a rather large pinch of salt.
