I think it's all fake & the only way to not put up with this rubbish is to stop watching. People are wasting their own time & money and they're having the last laugh and taking us for a bunch of mugs! I guess if people still enjoy it though it's up to them - can't understand younger people watching it though as it's been on for years so is hardly a new idea!

With the new 'generation ' of reality shows being scripted, it would not surprise me if producers feel too anxious to let BB and CBB be unscripted.

The whole issue of which housemates (eg Speidi, Perez) get chosen to go in a secret room (yawn - the most OVERUSED 'twis't in BB history which one would think had had its day !!) is so set up that I do not see how anyone would think there I an element of chance left..

US reality tv 'pros' are bussed over each CBB to ruffle feathers and create a plot line and social media storm. Personally I find it very patronising, and have not watched since Perez was so abusive to BB in the diary room - and yet was going to be rewarded with immunity and a secret room task. The thought of watching his faux outrage for 2 whole hours was too much to bear. The amount of air time he gets even in the house is ludicrous - he is right that it is 'the Perez Show' but I am a BB fan not a Perez show fan.. and given how much air time he IS given, the other housemates could have checked into a local luxury spa retreat and we would not have noticed..

After letting Rylan out, I wouldn't be surprised.

How often do you need a spray tan? Katie P has been rubbing that shite on her skin for days, every day, did it to others in there too so i find it odd they would be doing self-tan if they could get in on spray tans too.

I think all this 'it's in my contract' stuff is BS - if Perez had been 'blessed' with a pass to the final then I might believe but he is up for every eviction now...he'll still probably get the most votes and stay but if BB wanted to they could just put him straight in.

Well I wouldn't have guessed, she needs to change her supplier. She looked pale and blotchy more times than she looked tanned.

It seems they can only secure the most well-known names by pandering to their needs. It's a slippery slope, BB want bigger names but if the housemates know BB will cave in and add some luxuries to their contracts, you can't blame them for trying to get a better deal.

It all started back with Latoya obviously getting a private bedroom in CBB6. Now they are let out of the house for other engagements, and now they get beauty treatment. Next year they may as well leave the front door open and let them come and go as they please.

I'm sure most if not all the Zelebs have little specials within their contracts. They've probably all been for a wander or treat at one time or another, never mind spray tans. I doubt Perez spent that many hours in the little room, for instance.
CBB is semi-scripted panto trash telly, and I enjoy it. The semi-scripting may be as limited as engineering situations, right up to pre-arranged scenarios. It's like a magic act where you sometimes see how it's done - such as the occasions in past CBBs where floor crew 'directing' those on stage were accidentally seen in shot. Or when Rylan's rehearsal outings were revealed.
Of course they can get away with it because the mixed audience includes 'believers', sceptics and those who don't care either way. Some viewers bail out, replaced by new arrivals or those returning to give it another go. As long as the overall audience is large enough they are happy with this churn.
Who votes?
'Believers': those who genuinely think it's all spontaneous real life in a house rather than a staffed TV studio, plus those who choose to believe enough of it is real because it makes the whole series a more vivid experience for them.
And sceptics who like having a HM to champion.

You mentioned Keith, now I seem to recall he had the use of a mobile phone and was calling his wife on it. There was footage of it somewhere, not him talking on it, but saying to a couple of housemates that he was off to speak to his wife, yet it was never mentioned again, maybe I imagined it haha

I knew some tasks were scripted and people were let out for dental/medical emergencies, but assumed the majority were confined with no contact with the outside. Yet I read Katie is still being allowed to do her column in the Sun, (unless she writes it in Perez's secret bedroom) and apparently Rylan when he was in - well was actually out - carrying out other obligations. Yet this series, they're definitely showing signs of being sent quietly (?) mad and "wire happy." So I still believe they're incarcerated for most of the time. Aren't they?

I tend to watch it just to see how contrived and fake it is, and to see if I can spot any inconsistencies going on. It is certainly not worth watching for the reason I first enjoyed BB, as a social experiment.
It is just a pathetic joke now, but could be so good if they went back to many of the old ways but in particular stop the Americans coming over with their stupid interpretation of what it is all about, and stop special perks for some housemates. BB should be hard on them, punish blatant swearing and antisocial behaviour, and LF has to come back.
