I just don't get it.
This woman obviously doesn't like working class people, so why on earth are most of the BB viewers (many who are working class) supporting and agreeing with this woman?
In real life, she'd probably cross the road to avoid most of them!

I thought we live in a classless society 😊
Obviously we don't I agree perhaps Perez just annoyed everyone from the start and therefore buzzed off Katie on riding his ass the whole show.
She honestly talks and acts like a primary school child with his slooooow talking face pulling when someone's talking.
She's pantomime

Katie is working class, she works! It is the non working class, those who choose not to work that should object to her views on the subject.

Because they recognise officer material and automatically kowtow to it, regardless of the individual officer's fitness for purpose?

Ha.. good point. She also puts on a posh voice, so therefore that equates to more educated than them and knows best.

You agree with her. I really can't. Her views are the ugly stuff of history. Social mobility is unacceptable, education only for the wealthy

http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-ra...kins-interview

f you managed to miss all of that, you would get an idea of her style from her reply when I ask if she'd call herself a snob. "Oh, definitely yeah, 100%. I think it's really important to be snobby. Do I think social mobility policy will ever work? Absolutely not. Is social class a much more efficient way of getting people to the top? Absolutely. Social class has worked for years. Born into the right family, go to the right schools, even if you're not super bright to start with, you'll turn out bright. You go to the right university, you get the right job, you have the right connections, you'll make it to the top. Job done, very efficient."

Efficient at what? "Efficient at getting smart, well-connected people to the top. It is efficient, because what public money was required to move those people to the top? None." That would depend on whether we want the best people at the top, surely, or just the cheapest way to get some people to fill up the top? "Oh, for goodness sake," she exclaims impatiently. "It's this whole state school thing: 'Oh, there are a couple of bright sparks, let's invest £50m trying to get the two or three that might achieve to the top.' Or, shall we take really clever people and not have to spend any money on them, and get them to the top because they're connected and went to brilliant schools and their families will support them and they're fantastic? So why bother with social mobility? Why does it matter? Why? Why? I don't understand the obsession with it."
She reiterated those views on Question Time and to the Cambridge Union Society.

I think the majority of viewers are probably middle class to be honest. My mom tried to make out she was working class the other week. She earns over 40k a year not including dads salary and owns her own house. Lol

Because despite the things she says, the moment she opens her mouth she's entertaining, she's like the child with attitude in the class where Perez is just the village idiot.

According to Katie, unless your Mum was born into wealth and privately educated she is thick and worthless and so are you. Nor are you entitled to University education.

working class is so outdated.

blue collar to white collar... but even then, there are a lot of blue collar jobs that pay far more and lots of white collar jobs that pay very little.

its not a question of any of those things...

it is...

do you think for yourself - and is that just based on the environment around you that you assume is "like everything" except for the grass always being greener area
do you expect to work for what you get and you can get it
do you blame others for not getting things
do you expect others to do something for you

chips on shoulders will never heal unless you get rid of internalised hate of others!

The child with attitude??

she's like the obnoxious kid who tries to fit in by saying 'smart;/hurtful things that she thinks is funny.

Classic school bully.

I have to say Katie Hopkin's views are in my view something from the late part of the 19th century.

She reminds me of head teachers, mother superiors (nuns), Matron's, boss's and the like in the Victorian era.

She's so old fashioned.

Maybe this is the appeal to some. A panto baddy the audience are attracted to but don't necessarily like or agree with.

She can say what she likes, are the others so weak that they can't take it? They've all got the right of reply, if they don't like what she says they can argue with her unless they're too pathetic. If you think she's a bully whatever must you think of Perez? Personally, and speaking as a 'sweaty jock' (Katyism to which I took offence at the time) I laugh at her now, love her expressive face and hope she romps home with the winnings.😄

A very narrow view to have of society in general.

KH craves attention. Her comments cry out for a reaction and this constant rubbing people up the wrong way seems to feed her needs. She has no concern for the reactions as she seems too concerned with thinking up extra retorts and comebacks.

It's a classic sign of someone who is out of control. It's like an addiction.

Her main concern in my view is to give the impression of a very strong person. But, this is contradicted simply by this need in the first place.

A strong person never has any need to show it. It's just there.

There aren't any. The lucky ones get out early with their pay checks, the rest have to suffer to the bitter end.

She's far from strong and very much out of control. She doesn't discuss, she dictates black and white unreality, stuck very firmly in her jolly hockey sticks rude and obnoxious adolescence. I could never support anyone with such views. It's all about control, power and elitism.
How many people actually understand what she represents?

Perez runs rings around her. He's got her totally obsessed and she has no idea how to get control of him, which she's desperate for. He's years ahead of her and far clever at the trolling game.

Yes, people like Obama, Shakespeare, Newton, Edison etc should have been forced to live life as servants or manual workers and left the likes of Prince Andrew to do the important things.

Because we don't take every single word she says literally, especially when it's clearly tongue in cheek.

And the fact that she annoys the PC Mob so much just makes us love her even more.

A person who is out of control always feels the need to control others.

Anne, do you know if the story about the card to K H's stepdaughter who had anorexia is true?
