I got the impression they might have been played back one of Katie's diary room chats on the plasma screen - you know how they love to do that to stir things up - but I may be wrong - it could be just Perez stirring ( having been aided and abetted by BB who provided the footage to him of course!

Keith was hardly kicking off!
He did come across rather well though.
KH looked flustered, her neck was rather red. She was paddling beneath the surface but I think she did fairly well to keep her outward cool and address the issues, especially as she was the one being scrutinised and attacked.
Perez, on the other hand, was escalating his attack, becoming more frantic. And quite frankly, he came across as someone who was determined to try and get the others to hate KH, rather than genuinely reporting information to them that they needed to hear.

The hiding his smoking is not an issue at all. As a celebrity, he may see himself as a role model and may not want to be seen promoting a life threatening habit. He may not want his children/grandchildren seeing him smoking. There may be many reasons the he doesn't want to be seen smoking - doesn't mean he is being disingenuous.

I would imagine that being in that house would drive you to smoke - at the very least
If I had gone in there this series I would be disappointed at the way things have developed, its hard to "see" where all the fun has come from as said by those that have left???

IMO Perez looked more & more desperate as the clip progressed, embellishing and twisting trying to get others turn against Katie.
This is what his new plan is, feeding titbits in HMs ears, but what he doesn't understand is everything Katie has said behind HMs backs she has said it first to their face.

His game plan might not be working outside the house (although there seems to be a swell of support for him so it might be) but I think it is working inside the house.

Perez pressed himself up against the window facing one person in the garden, Katie............and he did the same when she was in the kitchen and he was outside, ---that led to Nadia saying to Perez "don't--, or we have to see her face" . Perez was deliberately doing things to goad her, so it's not an 'out and out lie', just because you interpret it differently is it.

Keith's kept out of arguments and says he's there to go through the experience, he hasn't constantly gone on about taking the money and getting out asap because he wants to leave, - unlike some in there -so I think that's what it means. He's finding it tough though now I think.
