If they enjoyed the food Nadia cooked, but Calum just wanted to do something with more spices and veg, that's not being insulting about Nadia's food is it.

but all he wanted to do was add his own style of cooking instead of always being Nadia's-it doesn't mean that they disliked her food does it !

But he still said it which he then denied

He did not say Nadias food. Perez assumed he was talking about Nadia. She has not been the sole house cook the comment was in general about all the food.

He basically just said he was going to cook some healthy food that day

He didn't complain about it, just stated it was heavy and he would like something lighter for a change.
Nadia is controlling, insisting people eat heavy food because she likes it.

He didn't say anything that bad, and he's grateful for the food anyway, he probably forgot he'd said it.

Nadia threw her toys out the pram. Stupid. Perez must be SO PLEASED with her reaction, whoop whoop, go Nadia.

She's a fool.

He said he wanted lighter food, I assume Nadia as a mother likes to cook home cooked "soul food" like cottage pie or spag bol, stuff like that, but there's nothing wrong with people having different tastes to her! She can't take offence to what other people choose to eat...

He called it stodgy and heavy and trying to put Nadias food down in front of others! So Callum lied, end of!

yes, - he said he wanted to add spices and some veg
And it was Perez who's twisted it to mean he was directly insulting Nadia's food !
Perez knows how to wind them up - so he can even lie about what he said he heard HMs say can't he !!!

Of course it's not Nadia is the kind of person who goes out of her way to be offended, it's a trait in a lot of lefties.

If Nadia is controlling the kitchen she is controlling the house

Did he say NADIAs FOOD ????
And MIchelle's already said that Nadia does have control issues, she's admitted it !
So Nadia is just overreacting because she doesn't like the idea of ANY criticism ! she's straight for the jugular, scary woman.

He suggested cooking "something healthy [..] instead of 'pure stodge'" and the others agreed.

Calum told Nadia he wanted to cook something 'Light'
That wasn't directly insulting Nadia's cooking, he even said to Nadia that she's aware he often asks her for advice, but he NEVER SAID she was controlling the kitchen or being nasty about Nadia's cooking was he, Perez twisted that, to cause trouble, he's playing a game and stirring things up to cause argument is part of it.

I thought he said it was a bit heavy - not the crime of the century. There are always differences of opinion on how food should be cooked.
