In my opinion the OP appears to be extremely arrogant and I don't mind saying it. She/he may be offended of course.
I am from the North and overweight by a couple of stone and of Scottish heritage. Katie H does not offend me. If you actually read and hear what she says and not how the media distort it, she does have some merit in her opinions and I find her quite amusing. I don't agree with everything she says mind you.
If she told me I was overweight, she would be right. Some people may be offended by her directness but it does not bother me and she would be right of course. Being overweight is not good for my health and may even affect my job prospects. Interviewers claim not to be biased on appearance but I know of a manager who interviewed for a post with two similar candidates. He blatantly chose the pretty one (in his eyes) and made no secret of it when discussing with colleagues. We can't be naive to what happens in the real world.
I have a friend with ginger hair who when pregnant actually said that she hoped her child did not inherit her ginger hair. I was a bit surprised by this comment. Was she wrong? I remember all the comment made about Prince Harry and his colour hair, were people vilified, no. People do have different opinions and different senses of humour. If not we would all be sheep.
