Can't stand him. You often see him in the background goading others.
You could see him at the end trying to encourage Katie and Michelle to have a go at Perez again. "Do WE fight?" More like do those two fight while he watches? Both of them had a look on their face as if to say what's this idiot going on about?
If nobody is having a go at Perez he doesn't like it, and it's only then that he tries to create a bad atmosphere again.
That's what gets me, the hypocrisy. Where people like him make out that they want everyone to be nice, but secretly they love it when Perez is getting hassle and actively encourage it when people get on a bit better.

Alex apologised for that comment and left promptly after - if he was consistently homophobic then yes Kavana shouldn't be supporting him, but he made one flippant comment (which he was immediately called out for) and that was after all the goading by Perez. In that situation, while he shouldn't have said it, I can sort of understand why a 60-year-old black man from the deep south of the US would make that comment - sure he was wrong, but it doesn't mean he's a homophobe, just not very well informed.
As for Kavana, he was much more unpleasant to Keith (and out of line) than he was to Nadia, and didn't he become very aggressive on the Big Reunion after a drink? He just makes up the numbers and wouldn't be missed if he left.

I've suggested elsewhere on this forum, though no doubt it's got lost in amongst all the Stepford Wife stylee rushing to hate on EVERYTHING Perez related, that perhaps Alex's homophobia was more apparent earlier on than we came to see on the HL show. He was certainly staring at Perez in quite an aggressive manner for a long time before the 'faggot' comment. I suspect that was what Nadia was referring to when she refused to be drawn on 'what I saw' in the argument with Kav. If I am right, then it goes some way to explaining why Perez apparently targeted Alex. He set out to expose his homophobia and he succeeded.
