I thought Samsung had plans to simplify their range of phones.

I assume the Alpha's sit below the 'S' range, or between the 'S' range and the 'S Mini' range.

The Alpha isn't quite up to the S range spec but is a bit over priced. I assume the Alpha was an experiment to test the market.

I guess their new simplified range will be out this year with 999 phones instead of the usual 1000

Haha.

It's difficult to make price comparisons because it seems to fluctuate. I did look at an Alpha a while back in an O2 shop, and it looked ok (against my s3 mini ) and from memory was not that expensive.

They do need to make their line up clearer.
