Calm and collected Callum really lost the plot tonight
Silent Scream

He was so desperate for Nadia not to listen to Perez he went back and forth like a clown trying to sort it all out and got absolutely nowhere.

If anyone's desperate to win in there it's him. He was grief-stricken at being up for noms and was desperate to win the approval of the public. He's not fooling anyone.

Hilarious though watching Nadia (who had no clue what was going on lol) give him the runaround. I expect it was a bit of a hair-raising experience for him.

Haha. Did you see what I did there?

Calum has just been sitting it out waiting for his pay cheque...brings nothing to the house .

He's a total waste of space. Cav too and to a lesser extent Keith. I don't really care as long as Perez stays in the man is a bona fide lunatic.

I couldn't disagree more. Felt he handled himself incredibly well and i'd like to think the majority of people watching would agree.

I don't think i've agreed with any thing i've ever seen you post though so i guess that shouldn't be a surprise.

If going completely off the handle equates to 'he handled himself incredibly well' I suppose you must be right.

If and it's a big 'if' he'd acknowledged that he had slated her cooking, albeit in a rather politically correct but underhand way, then he may have came out of that not too badly.
But he didn't. He looked like a desperate man trying to shut down a discussion verging on argument by shouting loudly and trying that intimidating stare thing.
Unfortunately it seems he'd missed the bus by a fair shot and underestimated Nadia's strength and refusal to be quietened. You'd think he would have known better than to get into a verbal tussel with her of all people by now.
Result = Serious dent in his macho image. (He scuttled away. She stood her ground)

He's not exactly alpha male is he? It was like watching a mother who has finally lost her rag with a spoilt son. I kept waiting for Nadia to say 'And get rid of that stupid haircut as well!'.

Telling Nadia to "do one" was not exactly calm and collected.

If Nadia had overheard him say that the food being served was stodgy and heavy (which he actually said whether he remembers it or not) she would have been hurt. Saying it behind her back was two-faced even if it wasn't a majorly offensive comment. It certainly gave Perez ammo though.

Usually I like the laid back Calum but how can you possibly say he handled it 'incredibly well'? Not only did he loose his cool but he lied!! Originally he said he did not criticise her food then (after we got shown the BB clip where indeed he did imply her food was heavy by offering to cook something 'lighter'), he eventually amended this and told her that he wanted to cook something light.

We might have to name a new type of HM Alpha Baby Boy just for him

I think Calum is coming from the point of view that in 24 hours of talking, with nothing to talk about except for each other, mentioning someone's cooking as the opposite of light is hardly malicious or even a criticism. If i eat fish 3 nights in a row and then have steak and say 'i'm glad to have a change from fish' it isn't attacking the original cook it's just wanting a change.

The problem is people see what they want to see. Nadia fans will back Nadia no matter what she does in there. Madness.

He's the least mentioned on social media out of all the HMs throughout the series. Humourless and boring, even Patsy was more interesting.

I'm not a Nadia fan. I kind of like her but she makes a complete arse of herself sometimes. To me it's about him talking about someone behind their back then he gets caught out.

It wasn't even a BAD thing in the great scheme of things but he still felt the need to erase it because his popularity is everything to him. That was my original point. He's fake and is playing the game in his own way, mostly by hiding, but anything that he thinks may show him in a bad light and he's like a dog with a bone, won't let it go.

He's desperate to win but made a complete fool of himself arguing the toss instead of just saying 'all I said was.... get over it etc...'.

Let's just be clear that he would NOT have made those comments if she had be within earshot.

But what Perez quoted him as saying, he didn't say. Perez said Calum moaned about nadia calling her 'controlling' which never happened. Essentially Nadia kicked off at Calum over a lie from Perez, which Calum wasn't happy about and wanted to address. When he had both of them in the same room Perez floundered but Nadia was too drunk to sensibly backtrack.

Calum never claimed he didn't say the food she made was heavy, he just didn't want people spreading lies about him.

Poor Callum. His big 'drama' is about a comment he made about Nadia's cooking. Well, you've got to take what you can I guess. **It's the Perez show, it's the Perez show dah da da dah**

His desperation to be liked is phenomenal. I don't mind game players but I prefer when they don't make out there not playing game when it obvious it's game play.

The flash back proved callum wasnt talking behind nadia's back. She lost the plot in tonights episode. Listening to perez will be her downfall.

No fan of Callum really but i think compared to the others who have had rows he wasnt too bad and handled it ok.
To be fair he didnt slate her cooking and as far as im aware didnt slag her off either at that particular moment he was just saying he wanted something light for tea .... My other half when i ask what he wants for dinner sometimes says nothing too heavy ..... Should i be having a shit fit at him over it ?!?!?

Also i would be the same and have been if someone accused me of saying something i had not and i have lost my cool over it ...... For me personally if it were me in his position it would be the sheer pointlessness of the "lie" ...... As for Nadia's reaction ..... Total over reaction. Its cooking for god sake not life and death (and this coming from a baker who makes bespoke cakes lol.)

Calum is a nice lad but he is in it to win it, like his dad he is VERY competitive.

Callum won. Saying he wanted light food was not even a miniscule bit defensive and even if he did say that Nadia's food was heavy, which he never, that is not any more offensive.

Ridiculous

Here here. I couldn't give a stuff if someone said I was a lousy cook (which Callum didn't). I am a lousy cook. I bet Callum would have said it if Nadia had been in ear shot, because it is not offensive. It would have prevented another argument if she had been there when he said it. I bet Patsy Kensit is glad to be out. I think I'd just walk if I was in the studio.
