Ive got an htc desire phone, i decided to get a new battery for it and ordered a new one, i left it on charging overnight and in the morning it was still a solid orange light instead of green ?

I tried turning it on and it wouldnt but did a flickering on the screen a couple of times

Is the battery no good or is there something i can do, a factory reset etc ??

For now im using the original battery with no problems. Its just old so thought id benefit from a new battery

Is the new battery likely faulty, or is there some tricks to get it to work ??

Sounds like a faulty battery, I'd send it back and get either a refund or replacement.

Yes, going to do that now, hopefully get it swapped
