Straighteners and Curlers recommendation

Over the last month or so my straighteners have faced a long painful death. They have been unreliable, it takes about 10x to switch the switch on and off to get them to work. This morning they have officially died and I have had enough.

I`m looking to buy straighteners and curlers. I was wondering if there was a two in one styler or something?

I`m not in a great rush to get the curlers, just the straighteners but I have been looking at getting some curlers.

Can anybody recommend a cheap but good long lasting straighteners and curlers? The current ones I have are Babyliss and lasted about 3-4years.

Nicky Clarke Mayfair hair straighteners, wide plate with fins/teeth are the best I've ever used, better than GHDs etc.

Hi Emma_Waughman
I used to use a G3 Salon Pro curling wand but when I bought my daughter her first straightener I decided to go for one myself. Her hair is curly, so a straightener makes sense. My hair is straight so why did I decide on the G3 Salon Pro styling iron? I watched the YouTube review on Karmin's website and was amazed to note that this machine straightens or curls. Sold my old curling wand and bought the styling iron. Works very well for me. Good thing is that it has a 3 year manufacturer's guarantee!

I did see some Nicky Clarke Straighteners going for cheap on Very, also in my local supermarket, unsure if it`s the same name though.

In the end I had to buy a pair of straighteners as I was in desperate need for them for going out etc. So I brought a pair of Remington ones and they are good, Got a thinner plate and it does a much better style.

My question now is which is the best brand of hair styler?

I was just about to recommend Remingtons. I prefer to GHD.

These are the best ever. Far superior to GHDs etc. I had mine for 7 years before I lost them. Husband replaced them for me with GHDs which I hate. Practically useless unless your hair is fine and straight anyway.

Another vote for GHD straightners

My ex still has the pair I got her for xmas 8 years ago and as far as I'm aware they were still going strong (haven't seen her since November though)

I got myself a pair afew weeks ago £110 but they are the new limited edition rose gold V styler. It is possible to get a pair for around £80-90

I have Remington Wet-2-Straight Straighteners & they have been used daily since October 2013. Long cord, heat up to 200c in 1 minute & of course can be used on wet hair that gives a straight result that lasts for ages! And they cost about £30 on amazon with a 5 year guarantee.

Read all the posts after my last one. You all talk about brand, price and how much you like them. One word of caution - please make sure that the plates are 100% Tourmaline Ceramic and not pasted on. Be safe.
