Kate Bush - Babooshka (it really irks me that this is one of a handful of songs that the wider public know Kate for when she's got so many much better songs)

Madonna - Give Me All Your Luvin (just poor on every level. Her vocal is so flat - she sounds bored)

The Cranberries - Time Is Ticking Out (never known for lyrical excellence, their take on global warming is just cringe worthy)

Bjork - Hidden Place (this marks the point when Bjork's music took a downturn for me)

Kylie - Wow (horrendous mess of a song. Absolutely nothing good about it what so ever!)
Michael Jackson - One More Chance
Pet Shop Boys - Numb (not a bad song as such, but definitely not single material. At least not from an album which contained Integral!)
Garbage - Sex Is Not the Enemy
Madonna - What It Feels Like for a Girl
George Michael - Round Here (snoozefest)
Pink - True Love

That was just awful. After the tour of 90s nostalgia, and then them saying they know the songs are a little dated, they'd probably release something like 'Judas' now. They then go and release something which doesn't just sound very 90s, it sounds like forgettable 90s. Huge let down after an otherwise successful comeback.

Madge - American Pie, and any of her stuff post 2008.
Spice Girls - Mama
Bastille - Of The Night (what was the point of covering and the plebs fell for it)

Ok, based on just singles released:

Lady Gaga - You and I (sounds to Shania Twain to me, who I really like, but it doesn't quite work for me)
Madonna - GMAYL and GGW (I really like the melody and the videos .... but the production really let them down ....both were far superior live on the tour and some of the remixes were far superior to single/ablum version too...clearly a rushed release )
Kylie Minogue - All I see (seriously from the edgy X she releases a bland RnB track with an awful low budget video?)
Britney Spears - 3
Tori Amos - Talula (one of the weaker songs on the album yet released as a second single? )
Christina Aguilera - Woohoo (a clear example of record label panic and misguided madness)

I've heard so many bad singles by various pop artists from the 70s onwards but I consider some singles to be the worst I've had heard in my lifetime so far:

'Baby' - Justin Bieber
'Stupid Hoe' - Nicki Minaj
'Friday' - Rebecca Black
'What Makes You Beautiful' - One Direction
'You're Beautiful' - James Blunt
'Cheeky Song' - The Cheeky Girls
'Mr Blobby' - Mr Blobby (character from BBC TV's Noel's House Party)
'Achy Breaky Heart' - Billy Ray Cyrus (Miley Cyrus's dad!!!)
'Jenny From The Block' - Jennifer Lopez
'Barbie Girl' - Aqua
'Everything I Do (I Do It For You) - Bryan Adams (I know it was a No. 1 hit but I hated hearing it so much as it went on far too long for ages!!)
'Against All Odds' - Mariah Carey & Westlife
'5678' - Steps
'There's No-One Quite Like Grandmama' - St Winifred's School Choir
'My Heart Will Go On' - Celine Dion
'The Birdie Song' - The Tweets
'Just Say No' - The Grange Hill cast
'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' - Jimmy Osmond
'Puppy Love' - Donny Osmond, big bruvver of Jimmy!
'Diamond Lights' - Hoddle & Waddle (80s football players who should have stuck to playing footie ONLY!!)
'I Should Be So Lucky' - Kylie Minogue
'So Macho' - Sinitta
'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?' - Rod Stewart
'Diirty' - Christina Aguilera
'Shaddup Yer Face' - don't know who sang it? Does anyone know?

Joe Dolce ... but these are just singles that you, I or anyone with a bit of sense would hate and not singles you dislike by artists you do like.

I like Sister Sledge, particularly the Nile Rogers era but 'Frankie' is dire.

Girls Aloud - Beautiful 'Cause You Love Me
Sugababes - Soul Sound
Cher Lloyd - Swagger Jagger
Cheryl Cole - Crazy Stupid Love
The Saturdays - Gentleman
Diana Vickers - My Wicked Heart
Britney Spears - Work Bitch
No offence but your list of fave artists is my list of singers I cannot bear and will always switch over from.

Beatles - Ballad of John and Yoko (irritating)
I forgot about that one. It is even worse than All You Need Is Love, but in truth it was more or less a Lennon solo effort, with the rest of the group probably humouring him by supplying the backing.

Madonna - Give Me All Your Loving (Her true senior moment)
Madonna - Like A virgin (i know this song made her big, but it is such a retarded song).
Roxette - How Do You Do.

Fleetwood Mac - Little Lies and Everywhere. Weak, yet played more often than most of their good stuff.

I like Pharrell, but I cant stand 'Happy'.

Calvin Harris - Summer

Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be

Christina Aguilera - Can't Hold Us Down

Maroon 5 - Payphone
I have no idea what possessed a) them to release this song or b) the general public for buying enough of this to make it their only #1 hit in the UK. It's just dire, made more so by that horrendous rap in the middle; any rapper who has to open with 'yo f*ck that sh*t' isn't pushing the boundaries.

Makes me cross because their previous album (Hands All Over) had loads of potential singles. Hell, even Overexposed had better single choices than that one (although I didn't rate the album highly).

Westlife - Queen of My Heart, I have a dream
Taylor Swift - Teardrops on my guitar (just a horrible song imo)

I'm struggling to think of artists I like at the moment...

bib: Couldn't agree more. Yet it reached number 1!!

Another predictable song choice, but what the hell, I'm going to add Madonna's cover of American Pie.

Also agree with glyn9799's Pet Shop Boys song choice..I Get Along was another poor choice of single from them. Along with Yesterday When I Was Mad (there were much stronger tracks on the Very album)

The clean version of Payphone is one of the few occasions where I've preferred an edited version of a song to the explicit version. It cuts the horrid rap (and I like rap) and replaces the swearing in the chorus, which doesn't suit the song.

Absolutely. Terrible choices made there.
