Lana Del Rey would be a good choice imo. She has that haunting, husky voice that could do a Bond tune justice. Not to mention her songs are a similar style to previous Bond hits.

Lana Del Rey would be brilliant. Her voice and style of music is just perfect for Bond movies (and soundtracks in general!).

Muse. I always thought "Supremacy" would make a decent Bond track.

I think that Muse should give it a go.
Although, they have made the decision as to who will record Spectre. I seem to remember reading that Barbara Brocolli (executive producer) confirming the news. I have a good idea who it may be. |

According to this article Sam Smith has already been selected :
http://www.entertainmentwise.com/new...ond-Theme-Song Every rumour I've ever heard seems to suggest he was first choice from day one and I doubt they were ever interested in anyone else. They might as well just officially announce it. As a Lana Del Rey fan I've pointed out many times that her musical style would have been a perfect fit for Bond, check out Million Dollar Man: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcUU1wa9YhE Shades Of Cool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJABBmAMXnY Frickin' pure Bond isn't it? So given that we've had 1) Years worth of crap Bond songs 2) Lana actually can deliver a great song in that style 3) Lana has a outstanding track record with film soundtracks, it does seem about right they'd go for Sam Smith who (not to discredit him as a singer) doesn't have any of this experience. Yep. ![]() But then its not exactly like its the first time the Bond producers overlook somebody that seems like the natural choice to do the song. So Lana's in good company if that's the case. |

Not a bad idea. Anyone but Sam bloody Smith.
Personally, I would like someone else to do it, but they [the producers and executive producers] are in a position where they feel obliged to give it to a successful artist who is popular and current. [Sam Smith is now up for Brits and Grammys; I know he is up for Best Original Song for Stay With Me] |

Lana Del Rey is the logical choice, obviously. It's completely her genre. And like DRAGON LANCE says, she's already got a brilliant track record in film soundtracks (The Great Gatsby, Maleficent, Big Eyes).
Sam Smith appears to have got the gig, though (bizarrely). I wonder if he's got Tom Petty and Jeff Lyne involved in the writing process? (j/k). |

Chas & Dave would be magnificent
. Or falling that Sam Smith's writing/production team can borrow some riffs off them ...no the theme song doesn't sound like Rabbit Rabbit at all denies the accompanying press statement....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOSseI1hao8 |

Goldfrapp would be ideal.
But it'll probably be Sam Smith. |

If i am being honest, i couldn't care less who sings it. As long as the song is good. That's the problem when it comes to the new bond film. A ridiculous amount of time is spent on predicting who will sing it and it normally ends up being an artist who is rather big at the time.
They should go for someone who is less known and under the radar like they did with Chris Cornell. |

Lana would be ideal. I loved that version she did of Once Upon A Dream.
