"Supply Difficulties" of Rebel Heart.
There are posters over on Madonnatribe who are saying that they have received an email from Amazon informing them that their order may not be dispatched until Tuesday or Wednesday of next week due to "supply difficulties". That will mean the album will not get to number 1 as people may be inclined to cancel their order.

Supply difficulties? Does that mean that they've run out?

Not sure. But I have just noticed where the posters are from: Germany. Perhaps it is the German distributor. Fingers crossed the UK stock will be fine.

This certainly won't stop the album getting the #1. It's only the Super Deluxe edition which is having problems, and only the die hard fans will be getting that I imagine. Also, Amazon doesn't count for all album sales, I expect an artist like Madonna will get loads of supermarket sales.Anybody seen the photos of the album yet? Looks gorgeous. The super deluxe doesn't have a booklet, but it still looks like a nice package. |

The super deluxe doesn't have a booklet, but it still looks like a nice package. My amazon order is still saying "pre-order" and I have prime. It does still give Monday 9th as estimated delivery, but I am confused as to why they don't seem to be hurrying to dispatch the item. Still, I guess I must learn to have patience!Yes, I've seen the booklet via Madonnatribe. I am appalled that no credits are included, no messages of thanks or anything. They could have easily put the credits under each song title on the pages that contain text. Under European law, it is, I believe, a legal requirement to include with any original work, be it music, poetry or novel, TV drama, movie or performing arts, to include as a minimum, the author of anything that has copyright protection. Madonna has asked for the (c) and (p) to have 2014 as the year of publication and not 2015. I'm not sure the removal of credits is absolutely legal in Europe and in the UK the 1988 Copyright, Design and Patents Act has to be observed. For instance if you include a poem written by a classic poet, you have to, by law include the name and date of birth of that poet alongside with the poem. If Madonna was the sole author of songs, a "All songs written by Madonna" statement is acceptable. However, as other people are involved, that statement is not appropriate. The album back cover does say: For album credits, go to madonna.com. I'm not sure if that is OK because they have to be readily available to anyone at any time, and if you don't have access to a computer how can they be available? |

I would like to see Joan Of Arc released but I think Iconic and Hold Tight are likely single choices. Beautiful Scars despite its poppyness almost sounds like it could have been lifted from Ray Of Light.

Rebel Heart - Deluxe Version
Ok, so I bought the Deluxe version at lunchtime. I really wanted the Super Deluxe but HMV only had the Standard & Deluxe versions so I bought it with the intention of purchasing the Super Deluxe version at a later stage. I didn't want to wait since I had today noted as Rebel Heart Day all week!
I haven't given it a proper listen yet, since I had to go straight back to work after buying it but I did listen to a few snippets on my way back in the car & seriously guys, I think this is my favourite album of hers since Confessions (which I absolutely loved). It's a really strong body of work - her voice sounds amazing & as always with Madonna albums, the production is so clean. It's a great album. My only disappointment with the CD is that I like to read the credits & thank yous - there aren't any. It says "for credits & other information go to madonna.com." but I can't find them anywhere. Can anybody help out? It's strange that they aren't on the CD sleeve. Also, in relation to the Super Deluxe version - the track list on her website is noted as:- Deluxe plus:- Beautiful Scars Queen Borrowed Time Graffiti Heart Autotune Baby Addicted Anybody know where I can get this Super Deluxe version, because on any online retailer I've tried, the extra tracks are:- Deluxe plus:- Beautiful Scars Borrowed Time Addicted Graffiti Heart Living For Love Full Vocal Mix Paulo & Jackinsky Living For Love Funk Generation Dub & H3dRush I'd really like to have the extra tracks instead of the remixes. |

Sales of Rebel Heart
What do you think Rebel Heart will sell in its first week and overall in the US?
It will have stability throughout March and into early April due to the tour ticket/album bundle being spread out over several weeks. The album won’t experience massive second week sales decline like MDNA did. The first week sales of MDNA benefited from nearly all the US shows being put on sale before the album was released hence its high first week sales and subsequent plummet. Rebel Heart also has 11 weeks of pre-sales that have been building up since the end of last year. MDNA only had about seven. There has also been promotion like the Grammy Awards to up her pre-sales. The other interesting thing to point out is the Super Deluxe version has a runtime over 100 minutes. Apparently this means sales of that will be counted twice, i.e. 50k will be 100k. That will boost her total sales as well. The only problem is the lack of a hit single to sell the album past the first month or so. Madonna will probably disappear into tour rehearsals in May so promotion might cease between then and the start of the tour. I know she's not really guaranteed a hit single anymore, but I do hope she gives Ghosttown a good push, i.e. a strong video, a few TV performances etc. to keep the album bubbling along. Her team obviously know what they’re doing this time. They definitely want the album to reach at least gold status like MDNA hence all the extra help. Exciting times! |

The tracklist on the official site is wrong unfortunately. The tracklist changed, but her webteam are clearly taking an extra long tea break haha. The Super Deluxe contains 4 bonus tracks and the 2 LFL remixes.

Thanks for replying! Yeah, her web team need a kick up the backside - it's not like anything Madonna-related to be below par - she's knows for being a perfectionist. I wonder why the writing/production credits are missing from the CD sleeve?

For those who already have the album, there are some complaints from Madonnatribe forum members who are saying the CD is unlistenable due to terrible distortion on all the songs. Can anyone who has heard the actual CD shed any light on this?

Its probably a cost issue. With 19 songs that's extra pages. If the booklet is too big it wouldn't fit into the plastic sleeve.

LIVING FOR LOVE (3.40) Written by Madonna, Joe Bloggs, Sammy Wonderpants, Gemima Puddleduck and Boris Ballcock. Produced by Madonna and three people who walked in off the street. Published by Webo Publishing, Boytoy Inc, Universal Music and Madonna's butler. Recorded somewhere in the world. For further artist information, go to madonna.com. Then at the last page, where it just says "Madonna" all the thank you's could have been made. There may be serious legal implications for her regarding copyright issues and failures to acknowledge contributors. In Europe, basic information must be provided by law on the product. |

The booklet is 20 pages cover to cover. It's just a list of the song titles in very large font & pictures of Madonna throughout e.g. page two says Living For Love & Devil Pray, page three is a picture of Madonna & so on. They could easily have fit the credits for three songs on one page (in small font - but the font is always small on CD sleeves) & alternate that with pictures of Madonna. !

I agree its odd she hasn't thanked anyone though but I don't think she did on Music either? I think she just dedicated that to Guy O and that was that! |

They could easily have fitted this info in. On the pages where it's just song titles, they could have, and should have, reduced the font severely and put the details underneath the title. Like this:
