Is there a place for a serious Big Brother sister show?

I've seen many comments on here about BOTS getting more unpopular, and I wondered if people thought there was room for a more serious sister show to BB.

It seems to me that all the sister shows so far have been very lighthearted bordering on childish at times.

Since CBB started a few weeks ago not one of the evicted HMs has been asked about the 3 walkouts or any of the reasons why warnings were given or had an indepth interview about the goings on - it's always very general and tongue in cheek.

Even the experts this year have seemed childish and most of the time stating the obvious.

Endemol are happy to show the controversial scenes on screen, but not to have them discussed afterwards.

I would watch it OP something more grown up and looking at people's behaviour more seriously.

The thing is that we did used to have lighthearted sister shows that were fun and irreverent but not sh*t. When Dermot was on BBLB and Russell was on BBBM, the spin off shows were often better than the main show.

Definitely! After watching Russell Brand's Trews the other day I pined for the days of Big Brother's Big Mouth. Although I'd prefer a more mature discourse, which he's more than capable of delivering, rather than endless drivel about his ball bags.

I loved Dermot's BBLB programme especially it's early evening time slot. I liked the Diary Room Uncut weekly slot. I also liked the psychological programmes too but I can't remember what they were called.

Doesn't have to be 'serious'... We are talking about a trashy game-show after all... But I'd certainly prefer it if they just kept it discussion based and dropped numptys doing dance therapy or mad old bats wittering on about handwriting.

Something without the dreadful audience would be an improvement.

I agree it is crying out for something better than BOTS, but fear the demographic will not allow that to happen.

BOTS is dire, which I kind of like, because it allows me to go to bed at a reasonable time!

I would certainly watch that.

It really is terrible.

They're trying for a mixture of childishness/crudeness, but that doesn't work when you have presenters who will swear, than giggle and laugh about doing so. It has to be either all or nothing.

A more serious show would be most welcome. Even the likes of Bit On The Psych, which was jokey, but got somewhat serious discussion going.

BOTS needs a complete overhaul. Bring in unbiased presenters and guests who actually watch the show and are not there to big up their friends. Forget the ridiculous "experts" who just talk twaddle.

Russell's ballbags were infinitely better than Emma's ballbags

I would definitely watch a show with more discussiom of HM interactions, behaviours etc without the likes of Rylan interrupting the flow every minute with his me me me stuff.
It doesn't need to be too serious. It would be good also if they had more balanced panels as it's boring and predictable when they all agree which has happened a few times this series.
