It doesn't seem genuine to me, especially in the diary room.

Nice but not endearing. Doesn't come across as being lovely. Just a little bit nice but boring. Shouldn't win. But may.

It's not an act.

He is really a nice guy!

They do exist, even in celebland.

I think he's a genuinely nice guy too. Yes I hope he does win!

Hopkins has been targeting Keith and now her fans on here are trying to turn him in to something he is not. It must be difficult when the HM you back whole life is consumed by being nasty to people and groups of people to understand there are people out there who are just not on that bus. And what is possibly even worse is to celebrate that fact somebody is nasty and question the motives of people who behave with a bit of dignity.

I think it's a shame that these days if you are seen as a nice person people are suspicious and think it's an act. Why can't someone simply be a nice person. People seem to think it's a virtue to tell the truth at any cost and be as hurtful as possible. I see it as a lack of social intelligence.

I think Hopkins may have issue with him being a bit serious constantly tidying up after everyone? He has come across as a little serious, dull..

No, seriously, I think KEITH is what he says on the tin. Not the absolute best kind of housemate if I am honest but only because a big brother house needs people like Katie Hopkins and Perez Hilton to make great entertainment,
(Just my opinion) BUT I am glad he has been in there. He is a lovely guy. I imagine he has been a great friend and comfort to some of the housemates. To me personally I think he comes across as warmhearted kind and genuine and he is one of the few I would like to see make final three. KEITH along with Katie P and Michelle Visage.

I'm not, I'm baffled to see so many are.

Surprised it took this long for the 'they're being nice so they must be fake' thread to start. Some people choose to hide negative aspects of their thoughts or personalities out of consideration for others. If that makes them 'fake', then so be it; I just don't think it's a particularly useful way to discuss housemates.

IMO he will win he is playing the best game in the house. He stirs things up on a on-going basis and as for they fake Tears oh dear how did he get a Tear Stick into the House. Well done to him for paying a good game I am pleased other people can see he is not what he seems.

Why is it so hard to accept that there are nice people in this world? Is this the BB effect?

Nope, me neither...I've watched Keith on tv since Swap Shop - he always came across as utterly phoney to me.

In the house, I think he's calculatingly acting all the time too.

No, it is our role as BB viewers to analyse the participants.

Why do others' differing opinions effect you so much?

I think he really is a nice guy. I like someone to win who is nice and provides entertainment. There is no one in that house who fits both categories, because Keith is rather dull, but given the lack of an entertaining, nice person, I'd like Keith to win.

If anything, it is Keith IN the DR that confirms he is exactly what he comes across as, a really nice, decent guy, struggling at times to stay above the fray and getting a bit overwhelmed at times by the strain of it all. He's not one for conflict and it's totally to his credit that he has managed to stay above/away from most of it, but also to his credit that he won't sit back and be walked over either. It's not a good house for him but he's refused to be beaten by it and remains the one solid, consistent, trustworthy presence in there.

I really hope he wins.

Imagine a house full of perez/KH characters

See his odds to win are shortening so expect quite a few threads about him will start appearing on the first page ....

I think some [but definitely not all] viewers find it hard to accept that other people aren't as cynical and mean-spirited as they are. For example, if you identify with Katie Hopkins and her approach to social processing, which is to judge and to look for the worst in people in order to make you feel better about yourself, then you're going to struggle to take Keith at face value.

And I think some [but again not all] of KH's supporters, need to find something wrong with Keith to justify both her behaviour towards him and their support of her. Classic psychological bias, looking for and finding non-existent evidence to shore up one's view.

And obviously there'll be some for whom he's just not their cup of tea, independent of who else they like. Bland maybe, needing to be liked, a wuss, etc etc.

He is a nice man, he has only come off the fence because he was up for eviction, saying things he has kept to himself in previous weeks. I think he has quietly seethed at people nominating him. Trouble is cleaning, smiling, clearly getting in his contract that he will not be seen smoking, is not the way to entertain or win the show.

He should be content to get his pay cheque, have his BB experience and come out to a good reception, but not expecting to have done enough to win.

Gosh that takes me back to the days of him and his wife Maggie Philban. Must admit I could not stand either of them then, owing to the phoney sugar syrup image. Liked him when he went in, but the tears. Really? However, I do think, the tea towel and the wonders of bleach, just say OCD.

Did he go into the house to make friends or raise his profile and career opportunities, along with the pay check?

Known of Cheggers a long time and he's always been a nice guy. He's never changed.

It's a sad state of affairs when you are called false for being nice.
