Strax also gives her a medical and says something about water retention as she gets older. ITD Clara asks everyone not to make any rude comments about her hips .12 claims she is " fine built like a man". Maybe he should go back to medical school!.
Broad hips are suppose to help with childbirth. On the subject of babies Clara said she wants to be a mum in 8.6 KTM. Sadly she lost a potential father for her child(ren) when Danny died. Despite earlier meeting Orson who could or should have maybe been her future grandson in 8.4 Listen 
. Clara teaches other peoples children but will she lose the chance to have any of her own?. Wouldn't be the first time. Sarah Jane adopted Luke and Skye because she was older and single. Amy and Rory had the double bereavement of losing Melody and the chance to have other biological children. Eventually adopting Anthony in New York circa 1946. LC we see Clara as a old lady. Some theories say she could still be a old lady with the Doctor only seeing her as young possible plot twist. Wouldn't be surprised if when she does leave it is sudden.
Maybe something happens at the school and the Doctor arrives but it is too late ?. Clara could go out a hero if she died protecting some of her pupils. Don't think she would fear death because she would be reunited with Danny.
