First Run rights on Netflix.

Any way we can ask netflix UK to add first run shows. I see they have picked up pretty little lairs first run rights. I was wondering if they'd be able to pick up once upon a time Season 3 & 4. Might be tad expensive for them though.

Also when they pick up a cancelled show from tv like Longmire does the Uk tv rights contract remain and have to be honoured. So Longmire over here will still air first run on TCM.

Once Upon A Time seasons 1-3 are on other regions, it would be nice if they brought it over to the UK especially since there doesn't seem to be any other broadcasters currently willing to grab the rights to show it.

Longmire will be on TCM first, the UK Netflix will get it at some point after its over.

I agree that is a good idea for Netflix UK to pick up first run rights to some shows and some seasons of shows that have yet to be shown in the UK

Netflix UK could easily pick up the rights to Agent Carter which Channel 4 have decided not to pick up and Netflix do have a good relationship with Marvel with the upcoming shows!

It was good to see Netflix UK to start showing all 5 seasons of Community from today but have all these seasons been shown on UK TV as I watched Community via other means!

Also I would love to see Once Upon A Time on Netflix UK as that would be a great addition to Netflix especially with so many seasons available to show as well as the failed spin off show!

The first season was shown on Viva, it was then picked up a few years later by Sony Entertainment TV. They seem to have caught up with the series fairly quickly though as season 5 got a UK DVD release before it was released in the US.

Yeah I found it was on Amazon after I had posted but I did wonder if any UK TV channel had shown season 5 of Community as I knew that Sony TV had shown the earlier seasons but I wasn't sure if season 5 had been shown on a UK TV channel!

Thanks for that information

Just hope we get to see Agent Carter on Netlix UK as it would be a decent addition especially as its yet to be shown in the UK!

Person Of Interest would be good, Channel 5 have the rights but they are so far behind (they haven't even showed season 3 yet)

If C5 have premiere rights, Netflix won't be able to put it on their service until Warner Bros. release the DVD.
