Plugging earphones in improves mobile reception?
Was parked up listening to a podcast on my phone while browsing and getting an H+ connection. The podcast finished so I unplugged the earphones and the connection dropped to fluctuating between G and H. Plugged the earphones back in and the connection went back to H+.
Now I know the earplugs are used as an aerial for the inbuilt FM radio but I did not know that it was also possible for them to enhance the mobile signal. Anyone else experienced this or know if it is by design or by accident or even pure coincidence? |

FM radio doesn't switch on on your phone unless you have your earphones or headphones plugged in.

The podcast was playing from the download. It made no difference to the effect whether it was playing or not. I only mentioned it as that was why I happened to have the earplugs plugged in.

Sounds like you are simply cancelling attenation, or at least alleviating it.
