Never thought I would root for Joey Essex, but I couldn't stand Tindall and Hazel

I didn't watch it last year and didn't know what to expect but really enjoyed it. Wasn't on too long and it was light hearted. I also love Austria so that was the icing on the cake.

Hope they bring it back next year.

How far did he jump? Do the winners of this contest have to be called Joe?

The Jump winner 2016 is Joe Swash.

The Jump winner 2017 is Joe Pasquale.

Sorry for not placing them in a spoiler tag.

I gather the winner's jump was 17.5 metres - exactly the same as last year but Joe McElderry jumped of the big jump.

Even Eddie Edwards could jump further than that. The WR is 246.5 metres.

I didn't root for Joey Essex as I can't stand his playacting. But I know what you mean about Tindall and Hazel.
It's not that I can't stand them, it's just that I wasn't that keen on them.

Seems like the big jump is pointless.
If they aren't forced to use it then why would any of them voluntarily jump from it if they know that they can jump just as far with the middle jump?

I don't watch the show but i wanted anyone but that Joey Essex guy to win. He is basically famous for being thick, people like him shouldn't be celebrated.

I just cannot see how somebody like Joey Essex winning The Jump can give this show any ongoing credibility.

If he's as dumb as he makes out then he'll be back here and looking for a mountain to ski down in East Anglia!

I have subsequently heard that Mike Tindall jumped 18 metres earlier in the show but in the final he didn't use the big jump.

I know that the distance seems like baby jumps compared to the world record etc, but it must be daunting to wait at the top of the jump. whatever height/length it is.

I really enjoyed this series.. looked brilliant fun, Davina's over the top enthusiasm is ideal for it..Do you know what, Joey Essex is just a nice guy, he is infectious.. he doesn't have an ego at all, unlike some of the others. Dont underestimate him, he is not nearly as stupid nor dim as folk think he is...Im really happy he won ...

He won it fair and square - regardless of his IQ and deserves the credit. I love the fact that he beat professional athletes and life long skiers to take the title. He had a natural talent and seemed delighted and very surprised to be good at it.

Bless him - he was a lovely chap and the other contestants seemed to genuinely like him.

Why all the hate for Joey Essex. He was a worthy winner and a proper dark horse. I'd rather he won it than eyes of steel Hazel or Tindall seeing as they're sportpeople and ergo uber competitive. Much better that Essex, Louise T or Chloe Madeley took the crown, or cowbell.

What are you sayin?!

Gutted. I had £2 riding on Madeley. If she had won I would have scooped about £70 !!

Top Gear's viewing figures would disagree with you.

Big success last night for The Jump with almost 2 million viewers during the finale.

"An average of 1.91 million viewers tuned in to Channel 4 last night to watch The Jump 2015."

That is quite true, but I see Joey Essex as being uneducated which is rather different than being stupid. As for acting stupid, I think he knows exactly what he is doing!

I didn't see last year's Jump, and was quite surprised how much I enjoyed seeing this year's show.

A good mix of different characters - even the one or 2 I didn't like at all, still added something overall.

I shall look forward to next year's effort, but PLEASE will someone tell Davina M that it isn't the "Davina Show", and get her to pipe down, or else, better still, replace her altogether.

They did a great job of avoiding any shots of Lady V's miserable face throughout the last two episodes. If I never see her again it will be too soon.

Same for me. I really enjoyed the show last year, and wondered if it would be back this year. So I was delighted when the trailer came on for it. I thought it was better this year. We played a 'spot Judy' game in our sitting room... if she was propping up the bar we had a drink.

You're right, he definitely does know what he's doing.

Apparently he is a good mathematician.

Yes - she had a face like a slapped arse didn't she. Couldn't quite make out why she was there as she seemed to feel she was above it all.
