The quintessential definition of an internet meme is "cat videos".

As I said another time when you said something like that, it doesn't fit my school experience very well at all. In any case, BB isn't very like secondary school, despite the popularity of stereotypes that seem to be from American high school films (like Richard's "Plastics" in bb7) or tv shows.

I wish it were more like school in some ways. Perez might have been expelled by now; and at least HMs could get away from his tactics when they went home.

My main problem with Katie Hopkins is that we don't get to see enough of her. BB concentrate far too much on Hilton.

I understood Glitterlady's post to be about narcissistic personality disorder rather than narcissism which is quite different. It's a subject I've been doing some research on as someone close to me shows signs of the disorder & Katie Hopkins shares some personality traits with this person. (but I'm not going to go down the armchair psychologist route though, the similarities could be purely coincidental).

I do agree about pop psychology memes popping up everywhere, 'sociopath' is the one I've noticed the most.

Thanks to Patsy Limerick for starting a great thread, I've actually come out from the shadows because of her OP - I'm a lurker on my occasional visits. I think my last post on here was about biscuits. 😊

I may have missed something on tonight's show but to whom do you direct this fallacy?
Is it the HMs or the viewers? BIB Was cited by who?

Me too. repeated reading didn't help. Is this in favour of or against Katie Hopkins?
OP went to a tough school though.

Edit: Superbowl over. I'm out.

I'm a bit lost in this thread full of vague, meandering suppositions and pseudo- psychological profiling.

It's told me nothing about Katie and everything about the mass projections of her antagonists. Most revealing.

Whoever wins there will be many that are disappointed. It is the nature of the game.

What's a 'mass' projection?

It's that thing that was sticking out of Perez' trousers the other night

The fallacy that popularity equates worth - the story of the rise of Katie Hopkins really.

She appears on a reality TV show, gobs off at Lord Sugar, becomes noticed by some people. The press make a big issue about her gobbiness and the viewers enjoy it, they start printing all the nasty things she says. People who read that press start following her on Twitter and reading about her more in the media. She gobs off more, people take note - cause if the media are paying her attention, she MUST be saying something of note, something important, surely? It snowballs from there and she ends up on CBB.

Within the confines of the BB house, I think the reason she's popular is because of her conflict with Perez and the fact that she can use long words in a sentence make her seem like the intelligent choice, the right horse to back in the Perez/Hopkins race. She keeps telling them she's smart, she keeps telling them she's open and honest, eventually many of them start believing it was their opinion to begin with. Along with all that 'isolate him' mantra, they can see clearly that she would isolate them at the drop of a hat, they don't want that so they toe the line and do as they are told.

Not sure, with all your long words Patsy, that that is even relevant to your OP but there you go, that's my tuppence worth.

So you don't see she has a problem with being nice? She has said that it is fake!....So, not projection then!

One problem is that genuinely 'nice' people often lack the venom to stand up to someone like KH in language that she understands. Therefore, it reinforces her perspective that she is in the right and others are weaker whereas in truth she is one hundred times more emotionally backward than the people she sneers at.

So unlike most shadows, then.

You are joking right? Clearly you haven't been watching the same show. He's a vile despicable man who deserves everything he gets.
