I've been looking high and low on google for a recipe or ingredients used in making Chicken tikka as a sandwich filler. You know the kind you'd get if you were buying from a sandwich deli counter. All I seem to find is Chicken Tikka Masala recipes, which isn't quite what i'm looking for. If I do find a recipe it doesn't seem to look like how I imagine. Perhaps it's 'Chicken tikka mayo' that i'm looking for

This is how I expect it to look http://www.richsauces.com/images/rec...h_edited-1.jpg

If anybody could help that would be awesome

I was told to mix mayonnaise and chicken tikka masala but it just didn't taste the same. Also it looked orange whereas I thought Chicken Tikka sandwich filling was more pink looking

I've only ever made it work by making Chicken tikka, then mixing in mayo, rather than mixing anything into the actual mayo.

You get tikka rubs/powders that cook well into the chicken then dice and mix with the mayo.

Don't take much notice of the colour. It usually depends on food colouring.
A natural marinade might be red if you use the right ingredients, but would probably turn out orange, which is what a majority of shop bought turn out like these days as they use less of the food colouring.

Most of the takeaways around here do the bright red version of tikka masala.

When i've made my own addingf red food colouring it has varied between pink, orange, red and brown depending on how much colouring I add.

Not sure if it's quite what you're after, but I make coronation chicken by mixing equal quantities of mayo and mango chutney and then either curry paste or curry powder to taste.

Such a shame.
Still, five posters made the effort to help you.
It would be nice if OP's showed their appreciation occasionally.

Try this as missyalicia says, I do this all the time and it tastes just like you get at the deli and in cafes etc.

Experiment with the amount to get it just how you like it.

I'd also see about cutting it with creme fraish, sour cream or yoghurt as all mayo would be a bit cloying for me.
