I Disagree. Abuse isn't really the right word, I agree that it is wrong but abuse to me is something that is purposely inflicted on someone for the sake of badness. The parents could easily prevent it, but I don't think it comes into the category of child abuse. There are some much more serious issues there. Try telling a child who has been actually abused that their case is no more important than that of a kid who eats a few more cakes than they should. These are just my thoughts from my profession. She should stick to what she knows, try writing some columns about areas you are educated in such as, oh I don't know, cutting hair? >.>

The only person unleasing anything is YOU with your constant stanning over HW and her Daily Star articles. Quit while you're ahead. How much are you getting paid for this? We're onto CBB now! Keep up!!!!

Not sure if abuse is the right word to use, but I understand what she means and I agree with her.

Well, I thought I didn't need to add "disabilities not withstanding", but you can imagine it's there if you wish.

I think some people are missing the point what right has an ex prostitute got to call out other people on how they raise their children

It's hilarious that Helen Wood of all people, is lecturing anyone on how to treat their children. Jesus, she has some neck

The article is so appalling and badly written as to be laughable...with nuggets such as:

Rugrats, brats, fambo, kiddy's, simples..

Her and her Daily Star articles are prepesterous and risable. Wish she would dissappear and take her "relatives " with her.

who made her money as a prostitute, had years of being out partying etc while putting herself AND HER CHILD at risk.

There are more forms of parental negligence then just food intake.

i dont consider obesity Abuse unless it can be proven that a parent is willfully overfeeding the kid.

IF its simply Spoiling or POOR parenting due to the parent own poor food choices, its negligence. Neglecting to supply basic nutritional foods to keep a child healthy.

Helen was already a successful business owner before she entered the Big Brother house. Applying for the show was never about money. It was about the experience. She went on a huge journey which eventually saw her crowed winner by the British public. The £100,000 was a nice little bonus, of course.

I think like Katie Hopkins Helen was an entertaining housemate who was not afraid to voice her opinion. It's these controversial characters which we want to see in the house. The days of boring housemates like Luke A and Sam winning the show are long gone.

Well said, Helen. Some people just can't see the Wood for the trees.

I have never agreed with her before and while it may be she does have a point this time I don' think it's always true, I have two thin sisters were thin all their lives I was one fat person in the family from birth really. Looking at the pictures of me as a new born I am fat and my sisters weren't. Now my Gran tried her hardest to get my weight down, doctors did too but it just kept creeping up.

I can't say that is true of every fat child so she has a point but it isn't a blanket right or wrong in this case.

I don't like agree ing with Helen, but she is right. If a child is fed calories to the point where they become overweight, they are being harmed, most of it is probably ignorance, and they need to be educated about healthy eating.

I do think the main responsibility lies with the parents. In a lot of cases I believe it comes down to laziness. It's much easier for them to throw a few chicken nuggets into the oven than create a healthy meal from scratch.

You see the thing what you classify as Boring (Luke A & Sam) I find as better decent and worthy winners.

I find the actions of people like Hopkins and Helen for lack of a better word...despicable. I don't treat enemies how they treat people, the fact Helen won and Hopkins is still in the house is a serious indictment of our younger generation's education and morals.

"Telling it like it is" or being "Contraversial" are not in themselves credentials, they are just boring. None of it interests me, in fact I pity people who think it gives them some kind of non existent moral high ground, or if they think it makes it better than people.

Common decency, sense of occasion seem to be a lost art form these days.

This is a rant I shouldn't have to make at 26 years old, longing for how things used to be

I'm sure the parents of children on STERIODS for LIFE THREATENING. Illnesses, will be very happy that this is the view of a strumpet, who charged for sex and her time back in the day.

Helen has totally rebuilt her life and can act as an inspiration to others. People who work as escorts deserve love and respect the same as anyone else in this world. We should be looking to help these people rather than pass judgement on them.

She's made mistakes in the past but has since used that negativity to build a bright future. She's now a very successful salon owner, the current winner of Big Brother as chosen by the nation, philanthropist, model, and now a journalist with the Daily Star. Helen is a prime example of what can be achieved if you put your mind to it.

Same as many parents make mistakes food wise, but the broad still likes to stick her oar in. I've never done drugs, so is she about to give lectures on that too? And I've heard how she hovered lines up like a pro.

Helen is paid to give an opinion. She receives a very good wage to do so. She was offered the job as a Daily Star journalist because she is someone who is not afraid to tackle the big issues.

And I know you'll say that she's this and that, she hasn't changed, she's just got more money that's all. She wasn't a nice person when she was charging men, and she's still not a nice person.

She's an old cake with new icing, the women voicing out in the media are all cheats or whores, so why cast the first stone, when they haven't lived a pure life either?

Everyone is different, EVERYONE has their own problems, but to judge like Helen and Hopkins do....I cannot take either seriously, when I've experienced both of them first hand.

This is not a new theory. She has just stolen someone's thought and spelled it badly for today's audience.

Have an original thought woman!

I think what the public found so endearing about Helen was the fact she was just a normal Northern lass. She was someone who made mistakes like the rest of us but would be the first to hold her hands up and was genuinely trying to become a better person. I think the public recognised the journey she had been on and that's why we crowned her winner.
