Tom Tom Go

I've just treated myself to a Tom Tom Go from Halfords - £157.99. During the process of setting it up I read that I will need a Smart phone to complete the set-up. I have a Samsung Galaxy which I assume is Android. Does this mean that I won't be able to use the Tom Tom? If so, shouldn't the assistant have checked with me first?

He certainly should have bought the point to your attention, but then he could equally argue that you should have researched the product before purchase,A trip back to the store and a civil chat with the manager may bring about a favourable outcome.

I would have thought there will be an option somewhere to skip this step. If you do hook this up to you phone be careful that it does not use all of your data allowance to give you live traffic.

Your Samsung phone is a smartphone!

You only need to use your phone if you require live traffic updates.
Data usage is very small
