They thrive when they're together and rowing. Like an fractious couple who can't live without each other. If one leaves then I believe there will be tears and loss until they can be reunited together in blissful conflict.

Hopkins is using Perez to boost her profile to the max. Once he started arguing with her, she knew that that was her chance to make her and him the center of attention on the show. That's most likely the reason why she won't ignore him for. She makes on that she doesn't want anything to do with him, but she knows that she needs him in order to boost her profile.

Not so much in love but the BBOTs psychologist (one of the few that are actually qualified on the show) said tonight that Perez and Katie H need each other, that they are like brother and sister at age 8 and that they feed each other so its more like that sort of dynamic. I can buy what he said - it makes sense to me
