When they've shown the full nomination they take so long because you constantly have to expand your answer. Maybe his reason wasn't good enough ?
I can only think that he wanted to nominate Perez or himself. Can't think of any reason they'd prevent him from nominating anyone else.

That's why they didn't show all the nominations. Perez & Katie Price both would have nominated Hopkins; and Katie P's other nom and one of Keith's weren't shown.

They can. Even if their reason is insufficient they are told to expand on it and clarify. Perez of course is eternally nominated anyway.
To add to the conspiracy theory, did anyone else hear Emma say to the Journo who said he wouldn't know which Perez he'd get, that he would find out later.....ooops maybe.
