I have a very cute budgie, just turned 12 weeks, got him a few weeks ago, very much sure its a boy, non stop chattering..still in training..although he is mimicking, pretty a bit and the alarm clock for now..I will post pics once I get control of the laptop back..!

If that bobble thing on top of the beak is blue it's a male budgie if white it's a female budgie.

I think he is a wee guy, yeah his cere has changed from purple to royal blue the past weeks..We are trying the open cage door policy tomorrow night, as he is stepping on and off! The last outing, shall we say, was a 10 hour holiday for him, 14ft ceiling and a nice curtain rail to perch on...I only have a 6ft ladder..he was fine..I wasn't! all prepared now..although he is now mimicking the smoke alarm..and the dog that barks outside..so when the cover comes off in the morning he goes " Beep beep, woof woof, pretty, preety..shoes! He must get the shoes from me telling wee one loudly..put yer shoes on!

I love garden birds. They are often overlooked. Our Greenfinches and Goldfinches have recently made a welcomed return to our garden for the warmer seasons. They are so delightfully pretty.
