"Bombshell" and "Fallout" a big disappointment??!
Hi everyone!
This is my first post here - I've gone from a religious lurker to finally speaking my mind - I often hold back my comments here because someone manages to speak my opinion before I do so it's the kind of forum I need not say anything.. Apologies if this has already been discussed but I was SO DISAPPOINTED by tonights "house shaking" twist? I've been so excited all weekend and I know there has been speculation here (most of which was pretty bang on) about what this twist would be but how disappointing? To call "Part 1" a bomb shell is a liberty to say the least - so they announced the nomination results live... we see them receiving the news every week - hardly a bomb shell!! A bomb shell to me would have been someone walking in, or removing all the alcohol, or finally punishing Perez for some of his overlooked (but relatively offensive comments), live in front of everyone. To announce the noms was a bit of a let down. Moving into Part 2, "The Fall Out" (remind me why it was split into two separate shows??) - What part of tonight exactly showed anyone falling out? They plead their case to stay in the show - everyone naturally stating how much they want to leave - they all had a bit of a giggle at it and then Cami Li was evicted. A "Fall Out" to me would have involved them encouraging arguments. What would I have done? Akin to Perez's "fake tweet" that he hated; I would have showed a few false comments on the screen. "Katie Hopkins said in the Diary Room that Michelle is a boring but safe friend..." ... FALSE information that they would perceive to be true and let them chew the bit out saying "I didn't say that" and see where trust is lost. That isn't the best example but hopefully you can see what I mean. I did enjoy how Emma dragged Cami Li through the mirror; but I'd have preferred an eviction much more like when Stuart was evicted in normal BB - through the diary room mid-party with no explanation or anything. Then we wouldn't have had to endure Perez making Cami Li's eviction about him. And the length of the eviction interview?? Don't get me started...!! ![]() Did you feel disappointed by tonight's twist or did it live up to your expectations? |

I quite enjoyed it to be honest.
The trick is, always have low expectations It certainly wasn't as bad as that absolute shambles that was 'Armageddon week' during last year's civilian series. |

They split it in to two shows so they could get away with more on the second show. If it was one big two hour show they would be in big shit with Ofcom for all the F words after 9pm as if a programme starts before 9pm then it has to abide by the rules for pre-watershed programmes, even if it goes on after the watershed.

Big dissappointment. The biggest bombshell today was that Emma was leaving BOTS.

Thanks everyone for the replies (and welcomes!!)
Thanks for that Paddy - that definitely answered one question!! I didn't realise that with the Ofcom rules - good to know! Aura you're definitely right with the low expectations side of things!! Wicked Father - from the future? I don't get it... haha. I wasn't that gutted about Emma leaving BOTS as I haven't watched the sister show since Big Brother's Little Brother finished (RIP). I'd really have liked something more but do you think they've pulled out all the tricks in the book? |

One of the all-time worst.
The producers just don't know how to creatively manage the show anymore. It really is the same old, same old as long as it keeps it under their complete control. |

Total splashback
I watched the jump for the first hour.. Judy had been by the bar for over an hour and when she finally got interviewed was TV Gold. I didn't stop laughing Again a good idea ruined by Channel 5 feeling the need to stretch the entire thing out and ruin it. Like hell they didn't know when all of a sudden these changes started. Sorry the more they push Rylan the more it reeks of them worried Emma is heading for a certain flagship ITV show and they need a new host ready and waiting. the entire setup tonight just didn't make sense not even using the main studio even that BOTS audience couldn't keep the fake excitement and smiles up |

![]() Haha well this is true. Perez leaving MAY have been more of a result. I just feel like we're missing out too much on "funny stuff" that we see in people's best bits etc because Perez takes over the whole show. There was highlights yesterday online about Katie dying Kav's hair - we didn't see that. And yet it probably would have been funny. Perez and Katie both had fake eye lashes on - obviously a back story to that but we didn't see that bit either - probably another funny thing. But they focus sooo much on the bleedin' arguments!!! |

You're so right. Here's a great twist - put 14 celebs in a house, let them nominate once a week, take away their luxury items and stop interferring and let the social experiment run it's course. That's a great premise for a programme right? I'd love a non-twisting back to basics show!! PLEASE!
You couldn't be more right about tonights setup not making sense. I thought that Rylan was going to be there to host the bits Emma couldn't when she was doing the live eviction part. But she still narrated from the camera run and done the interview alone so what exactly was his purpose in being there? The audience were terrible. I'd have preferred no audience, Emma presenting from the usual stage, and letting Cami Li go out the main door to nothingness. Unfortunately, the producers want a nice 'safe', stage-managed, predictable, bland show. |

As per usual all goes off like a damp squib. Nothing new there.
