"Ring true" means they seem true, or likely to be true, to whoever thinks they "ring true", not that they're actually true.

Perez sometimes manages to provoke a HM into doing or saying something they wouldn't otherwise have done or said. I think it's questionable to describe that as "exposes something in others which they'd rather try to hide."

In the clip here, Perez was talking about Katie Hopkins playing a game, and Callum insulted him by saying he was just "playing, fullstop". He then criticised Perez for continuing to talk about it, and was trying to get him to shut up - asking him why he "went on" about things, making it difficult for everyone. Perez acknowledged that he could be wrong, and said he was just talking, and if Callum had a problem with it he could leave. Callum was personally insulting.. Perez was merely defending his right to express his opinion.

I hate that so many people ignore the horrible personal things said to Perez, and seem to think that him saying much less nasty things in response show him up as vile. To me, Perez is the one who has shown a lot of restraint in his responses to people. Yes, when he is having a carry-on, he is unrestrained, but not otherwise. Even when he totally lost his rag with Callum calling him a dick, his retort was the "stick it up your arse", rather than something more hurtful and personal.

I am surprised that anyone would side with Perez and his manipulative, passive-aggressive, mind-poisoning tactics after watching this clip.

I am not so sure if Callum is now showing his true colours which makes me wonder if he really is this cool laid back guy,he seems to be well and truely in the KH camp perhaps he thinks if she is popular with the public shooting her mouth off so can I, although having said that Perez would break the patience of a saint.

I don't think Perez has ever denied attention seeking, which makes it all the more powerful when he points it out in others.

Callum revealed himself to be a bitch after Cami made fun of his shoes. How he thought he could take on Perez is beyond me.
