Watching Perez vs Hopkins reminds me of a Mitch Hedberg joke:
"The depressing thing about tennis is that no matter how good I get, I'll never be as good as a wall. They're so relentless."
To me, Perez is like the tennis player and KH is like the wall. She is always going to have the last word in any argument ever no matter who with, whether that word is any good or not. But there's a reason why we don't credit walls with winning Wimbledon*. Any initiative is coming from the other side.
Of course, if you watch that duel for a long time you may get bored and find it's only bearable because of the bloke in the background saying 'New balls please. Wahey!' But that's another matter.
