Exactly....how is saying that she will persecute Perez until he leaves the house not seen as bullying? It is a classic case and smacks of favouritism or, perhaps more worrying, a fix?

She may dress it up as humour but there is contempt for everyone under the surface. She's a supporter of the 'survival of the fittest' elites, and unless you fit her criteria, you can just die for all she cares.

One of the more positive things about Jim Davidson winning was the debate it caused regarding his apparent 'sexist' attitude. I think we had a chance to make up our own minds (albeit edited). Same goes here with Hopkins. You might find most actually think she is alright after all. And that she is allowed to have her opinion even if you don't agree with it.

Wonder no more I have the answer
She has not had any warnings because her Behaviour in the Game show has not warranted any . She has not been nasty enough or threatening enough to be given any Not like some people in the house

Have you watched her say something and then sit listening? I have. She throws the clanger and wants to hear people stand up for themselves or argue their point. She is happy to debate.

Not for nothing is she hailed as the most hated woman in UK).

There can be no doubt that Hopkins is both a bully and also a bigot. Therefore, if she wins, it gives a huge endorsement for this behaviour, i.e. sends out the message that such behaviour is OK.”

Denise Welsh .. Was a loud mouth drunk who exposes herself. Winner

Now these were two people that shouldn't have won. Not funny. Not clever really. Have you had a peek at Denise's comments on Twitter re CBB? She obviously deserves her place in loose women.

Not seen it but may have a peek. In my eyes she is a vile woman and should not have won. She is disgusting like a lot of the other Loose Women.

Repercussions to what or who? I don't think it will affect world peace if Katie Hopkins wins CBB.

I do not think she is a bully but agree some of her views are a bit extreme but not all of them

How about her view that only people who have been to the top public schools and universities should get the top jobs and that everyone else doesn't deserve to have money spent on their education? You ok with that?

BiB I'd be interested to hear your definition of bullying.

I think the bullying thing has be covered time and time again. She has opinions. She is allowed to voice them.

That is her opinion (as you said, in her view) so how is that bullying?

I think win or lose the mass support of Hopkins tells us a lot about the mood in the country.

I know it's only a shoddy TV show watched by an avid minority but ...............it is (I think) symptomatic of a change in political thinking.

What with UKIP gaining popularity and Hopkins spiteful opinions being given a platform and actually applauded - I feel pretty sad/concerned about the forthcoming elections.

Do we not learn or take in anything from history?

I agree with you Penny. Many things are better in our society than they used to be but the increase in judgemental thinking and "telling it as it is" is sickening. I would like to hope that people see sense before the election but I am not optimistic.

Far from it. 'Judgemental views' are so few and far between these days that just having an opinion is seen as extreme!

Well, my take on it is this. The BB audience is skewed from what it once was by the fact that Ch 5 have taken it in a different direction and meddle a lot more to create manufactured drama. They deliberately pick more extreme housemates, nicer and nastier, to ramp it up to the max. That attracts a kind of audience who thrive on that stuff and aren't representative of the wider population. Those of us who are still hanging on through the changes are left bewildered and drawing conclusions about the wider world, because we are in the main thoughtful and reflective people.

UKIP might have gained in popularity over the last year or two, but I don't think we have to worry about them, they are a bunch of losers and nutters and the whole edifice will collapse into chaos before very long.

it really isn't.

It's nothing to do with being judgemental in my opinion (there see I've got one) - it's everything to do with blaming those in unfortunate circumstances for their own bad luck or situation.

It is all about a lack of empathy for those less fortunate and blaming them for all the ills in society. It is all about ignorance of those who are 'different' or not deemed acceptable.

It is the road to Fascism.

There is literally no chance of this forum ever reaching a consensus on anything, never mind whether someone's behaviour is bullying. There are many people vested in declaring that nothing that happens in the BB house is ever bullying, and it would be interested to know why.

She is entitled to voice her opinions, which others are entitled to disagree with. She is not entitled to round up a gang of supporters to try and isolate someone and dish out the kind of verbal abuse that is way over the line of what's acceptable. She certainly attempted to bully him.

Possibly more of a case that actually thinking could be seen as extreme...certainly her lack of it is Ms Hopkins most salient feature.................................

I suggest you pay a visit to Twitter if you think that. Those loons make Hopkins look like Mary Poppins.

When it's said tongue in cheek, with satire, to get headlines in papers it's fine. There is humour. Lots of comedians take the piss and do exactly the same as Katie.
