Android app like trigger
Anyone else use this and found something better?
I use it so that when it connects to my car via bluetooth it disables wifi and re-enables when it disconnects again. I do this as wifi clashes with bluetooth on my s5 mini. Just wondering if there's better out there to trigger by location or something I've not thought of yet. |

Have you tried Llama? Lets you turn bluetooth/wifi off, change sound profiles etc when certain conditions fire. Its geared towards location-based triggers but will do other stuff too, including when a particular bluetooth device is connected or disconnected.

Interesting. It can do what I need from trigger and interesting if I can configure a work rule tomorrow.

Also have a look at Tasker. Bit of a learning curve but fun and very powerful.

Llama is one of the first apps I add to a new phone - got lots of rules geared up around turning phone to silent when I go to the cinema, turning on wifi when I get home etc I'm sure Tasker does all that stuff and lots more but Llama is fairly easy and also free!

Have a look at MacroDroid. Like Tasker but a lot simpler. I use it a lot.

Have had a look at them all. I'm going to test macrodroid out tomorrow. They all have their pluses and minuses. Didn't like no way to try out tasker so missed that one.
Unfortunately you have to pay macro for multiple events but have set individual ones for now. |

Trying it as a find my phone too. If it receives an sms from wife saying exactly find my phone, it sends an email with location. Done reverse on her phone too. See how it goes

Back to trigger for me. Macrodroid didn't do what it was meant to today.

I use AutomateIt. I have several rules set in it, like put the phone in silent mode at 11pm, and then put it in normal mode at 7am. It also detects when you are driving, so you can set up rules to run when driving. I turn on my bluetooth, when I am driving.
Its an excellent app, give it a try. |
