Why does the winner have to be so negative and nasty?
The original concept of big brother was just to be a fly on the wall and watch the contestants be themselves. None of this trying to goad housemates to react and then play the victim and get them banned. It's nonsense, if someone tried that in your house I'm sure you would get tired of it soon enough.

Personally I've always liked genuine people who are down to earth and are a great laugh. People who are big enough characters that they don't have to play to the camera or attract attention. Always thought shaun a bez were a scream on reality shows.

These "experts" are only giving an opinion. What they say is not the law. I don't agree that his critique was fair - he was obviously biased against Perez, and spent most of his time dissing him. A previous psychologist had a far more fair assessment of Perez.

His gloating praise of Michelle had me really questioning whether he is watching the programme carefully enough. Didn't he see Michelle's and Katie's thoroughly superior sneers and smirks behind Alicia's back when Alicia got things wrong or discussed her lack of education? I find that despicable conduct, and worse than anything Perez has said or done. Another tactic the psychologist has ignored is Michelle's systematic targeting of housemates to ensure that they isolate Perez and distance themselves from him, after he nominated her?

About the row with Calum.. Perez said that Katie Hopkins is playing them all.. which is true. Calum retorted with a personal insult, saying that Perez is a player. So Calum, yet again, started the row by insulting Perez personally.

I think Perez did come into the show with the intention of having one big party and being entertaining, but some of the rest of them take themselves way too seriously and see him as stealing the limelight which they want.

No-one left in the house has shown any real support or loyalty towards him, trhey don't appreciate his madcap humour or his quick wit, so he now doesn't care what they think and isn't prepared to tolerate them dismissing him or insulting him. He is now deliberately winding people up, as a direct reaction to their previous behaviour towards him. I don't really blame him. I personally have found him funny. I can understand that he's really annoying some of them, but to make out he's the devil incarnate is just silly.

Perez has apologised and "owned" some of his bad behaviour, especially if he feels he has said something personal, but not one person has apologised to him for what they said to him. Calum is so derisory, and has said horrible things to Perez. Even if they are true, Calum should have apologised when Perez did - especially when Perez said he'd seen Calum talking about him when he was in the secret room. I have lost count of all the times Calum has called Perez nasty names or acted superior. He's always telling Perez to shut up when Perez is only expressing his feelings, yet we never saw him doing the same to Katie Hopkins when she was spitting nastiness in Perez's face.

That psychotherapist was just jumping onto the anti-Perez wagon, rather than having the professionalism to make fair comments.

Me too. When he goes into one of his rants I just laugh.
So funny yesterday when he and Calum were arguing, he wound up the most laid back person in there within an inch of his life, and then at the end of it all he said "I didn't say he was a bad person" Lol. No Perez, you just said you didn't like him, he wasn't a friend you didn't give a stuff about him, you would never keep in contact, but that's ok, because you didn't say he was a bad person! Love him.

I agree with you about why does the winner has to be so negative and nasty....I call it BB dumbing down and/or a sad indictment of what counts as popular by our society.

However, that said, it is not the monopoly of 'genuine people who are down to earth' that can make us laugh. Perez's ability to be entertaining has been his saving grace, i.e. many (including myself) would have little time for him otherwise.

Find myself agreeing with most of what you write. I have wanted to kill Perez at times but he really cracks me up now and is far from the most viscous or vacuous in that house

I think he is 'hated' for two reasons : firstly, because he has been a pain in the arse and wound people up into a frenzy, stolen all the limelight and challenged everyone and secondly (and more importantly) because there has been a campaign by Hideous Hopkins and her gang (their word) to isolate, abuse, goad and dismiss him. They have openly said they want to destroy him. The dislike and annoyance has turned to hatred - it is pitiful to watch.

That type of behaviour is disgraceful.

I find Perez hilarious.. If I had been arguing with him and he'd come out with that line "Sorry if I offended idiots", I'd have fallen about laughing.

I have lost count of all his great lines.. The reason he stole the show is because the other people are dull. Of those left, Keith seems nice, but hasn't been entertaining enough to win, unless you like watching people cleaning kitchen worktops. Hopkins is horrid and a bit disappointing - I expected her to be wittier and smarter, not sliming up to housemates with fake tan (oh, the irony) or smarmily attempting to win viewer votes by trying to package herself as a "Best of British" product. Kav and Callum were totally forgettable, and Michelle just sat around bitching most of the time. Just my view.

The nail that sticks out gets hammered. If he was a true "victim" of hatred then it would be understandable to feel bad for him. However, he chose his BB experience to go down this way so he should enjoy the rewards of his behaviour.

He gave them the ammunition and they fired it.

And he has the last laugh. Because they are firing blanks and it just makes them look bad. He's no worse off than when he went in the house. Or probably a bit well more known in the UK.

Meanwhile their antics have damaged their hopes of a UK brand - except KH - since everyone knew what she was like when she went in.

Not at all - as I've said before - there's no bullying of Perez. He would have gone into the Diary Room and cried that he 'felt unsafe',and demanded his lawyers. He hasn't, because he hasn't been bullied.

He'd know. He's the king of the bullies. He's driven other celebs to breakdown after his nasty blogs. He stalked Lady gaga to the extent of buying a flat in the same.building as her. He is an insane bully. You only have to cast your minds back a few weeks before he started pretending to be nice.

Perez is the bully.

Katie Hopkins isn't a bully.

Katie Hopkins to win!

Anne can answer for herself of course she can.

I'm not going to try and explain myself any further as I'm certain you know exactly what I mean, but appear to be cocking a deaf one.

Just curious though, are you qualified to know that Graham actually knows what the heck he's talking about. Or are you just suckered in by his qualifications and automatically assume he's good at his job?

He wasn't very accurate regarding Michelle IMO and as I said guessing who the artist was on every painting. Therefore he isn't perfect.

Its good we can exchange opposing views in a pleasant manner.
Still not agreeing though.

I do think that the bad behaviour 'there' has caused bad behaviour 'here' and that has been really disappointing.
