Amusing and dry as ever

As for Joshua's excellent post I'm not sure saying the Rasta hat etc did exaggerate the comparison. After all she calls herself a drag queen and jokes about how long it takes to dress as one. She's as near as damn it wearing the hat and the wig as well as of course the t shirt.

What really gets under my skin about her though is that she is the voice of the gays 'roll eyes' for personal gain including making money. Surely if someone who isn't even gay wants to join in the fight they should at least do it solely for altruistic reasons

I see that Ru Paul has tweeted that there will be a UK version of 'Drag Race' if Michelle wins CBB.
What an incredible coincidence that Michelle has gone in there with her campaign which is her purpose for being there.
How surprised she'll be when she leaves the house and Ru Paul tells her of this news.
What name??

She is selling the t-shirts. They are on her website as one of her sidelines. She flogs them.

So she hasn't been there. Hasn't done that and is flogging the t-shirt to the gullible.

The future of Drag Race happening in the UK will have nothing to do with how good or bad Michelle performs in the final. That's not how television works. Jonathan Ross has been the man behind the UK version of Drag Race and has been trying to sell it to channels for a long time now and if someone with his credentials and respect in the business can't do it, I really doubt that Michelle (one of the most boring housemates this year) winning the show would help.

Even if she did win the show, the majority of CBB viewers would forget about her long before the August series starts. She hasn't contributed anything to the show and I feel sorry for whoever has to put together her best bits montage on Friday.

If you ask me, RuPaul promising a UK series is nothing but peddling for more votes, pure and simple.

Imagine a situation where they're told that it's an interesting idea, but that they're not really sure if Michelle is the right person to be involved as the public didn't see her as a visible enough character in CBB. And that they'll go ahead with the project as long as they can think of a suitable person for the project with a name which will draw a lot of attention to it, preferably a gay person who's well known at the moment?

It would be the right thing, after all it's what Michelle says she's been campaigning for. He wins and she wins.

I agree she hasn't exactly covered herself in glory on CBB but Im not sure she deserves all the hate expressed on here.

re DRUK, she was in discussions with Jonathan Ross last year about the UK version and in fact it was her idea to bring Rupaul over as a judge, not the other way round. In the original treatment Jodie Harsh was the headliner rather than Ru.

Having said that, I'm not convinced that a UK version will work. I'd rather ch5 screened the US version instead.
