Oh I am aware of that film. I am gay so was getting mightily confused when people were lumping drag queens and transsexuals together as if they were all the same.
There is major difference in that cross-dressers or transvestites http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transvestism are doing it as a fetish or sexual thing. Drag queens are performers in the Gay community and this most of them are gay. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drag_queen Transsexuals are whole other kettle of fish. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transsexualism |

I can respect that she does good work on the 'communities' behalf. The thing is - is there nothing else about her? This is all she goes on about. Do we need enlightening? I think it's wonderful when 'celebs(?)' support a worthy cause - when they go on about how they work tirelessly blah, blah, blah it kind of diminishes it IMO.
Actions speak louder than words - a. what has she done to raise awareness in the house? and b. She actively played a part in ostracising a gay man from the house community and joined in with ridiculing someone with learning difficulties. A past 'reputation' isn't enough - we need to see what she's all about. Keith might donate to Guide Dogs for the Blind for all we know - Katie P does (I believe) do a lot of charity work in aid of children with Special Needs - we are judging them on what we see - not the good works they do outside the house. Bigging yourself up for the good work you do isn't on really IMO. |

I took offence to Michelle when she put the LGBT community in the same box as "Misfits" and anyone else that did'nt fit in, I was so glad Perez made a point in quoting her agenda and apologised incase he offended any "Misfits" that to me was very telling of how much of a bullsh*tter Michelle is, same as wearing all her union Jack "I love UK" and "LGBT" clobber. If anyone is trying to manipulate anyone its that woman, she is the voice of Michelle Visage and nothing more, and she hasnt done a very good job at that because her face is embedded so far up KH ass her voice is constantly muffled.

I think Perez was on a bit of a high, having just "told it how it is" to the transparent hypocrite that is Callum after hearing him pretend that he "had his back (dude)"
So, whilst he was at it, and especially since the farcically fake 4 work like a homogenous DON'T really tell it how it is, except to the weak or behind people's backs, he thought he'd tell Michelle a few home truths too....simples! |

Woman is a major supporter of the gay community...gets abused for it.
This forum is just as twisted and revolting as the HM's. |

She is WAY more the voice of the community than Perez is that's for sure. Not met a gay guy in my LIFETIME that likes him yet.
Equality is about having rights, or not having rights. Liking or disliking somebody is completely irrelevant. |

I really think big brother told perez to say to Michelle she isn't the voice of the community , it just seems too coincidental that people on here really take issue with Michelle over this and perez chooses now to bring it up when he has had plenty of time to tell her this.
It seems like big brother want the conflict to carry on after it seemed to die down a bit. And we have seen over the years that BB can lead HMs with the questions BB chooses to ask. Quote:
It's possible of course that BB brought up the issue with him in the Diary Room in quite a clever fashion ie "What do you make of Michelle's claim to speak for the LGBT community?".

Yeah I think it was a bit strange where he said out of the blue, while he was talking to someone else, "and by the way Michelle, you are not the voice of the gay community". Sounds a bit like he just remembered to bring that up.

Well you have completely missed the point people are trying to make. She isn't getting abused for supporting gay people at all. People think that she is using people to help her win.
But actually, she is also being abused for supporting gay people in the way people are trying to make it seem she has. Pretty much anything anyone can come up with as a "reason" to criticise her is being used. |

Or ... Perez's microchip implant is receiving secret information from his Echelon handler on the outside. He's being brainwashed to win BB by forces hostile to Hopkins.

I keep reading this bit above and wondering where I can find the facts on this. I am aware about the transsexuals abut am slightly confused about the Drag Queens being mostly straight. I feel someone is mixing up drag queens and transsexuals which most people do but I would love a link. I had a google as well and found this http://www.huffingtonpost.com/tom-ba...b_2979249.html but it says the majority are gay so I am wondering why people are perpetuating a myth that Most Drag queens are straight?
I said many drag queens/female impersonators are heterosexual not most. Since the stonewall riots in the 60's, gay culture has indeed embraced drag. It dates back to ancient times the tradition of female and male drag. http://www.cvltnation.com/fooling-th...e-drag-queens/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ecvw-mepBc Indeed though most transexuals are heterosexual. |

Perez brought it up purely because he knew it was the best way to really annoy her. All part of his 'game plan'.
