It's been around in Office Jargon Speak for yonks, it just means accept what you said and take responsibility for it.

I think, when it is is used as in 'own your own behaviour' it is about admitting that you didn't do what KH told you you should do.

Thank you that explains it but when it is being roared at someone who just gave an opinion doesn't seem to apply at all so I am still baffled.

Keith: It's really sad the way Cami left the house.
Katie: You voted for her.
Keith: Yes but it's sad how she left.
Katie: But you voted for her, own it!

In Katie-Jargon-Speak she meant it was Keith's fault as he nommed her so that was the most important thing. He had to own that fact.

It doesn't make her right, it's how she thinks.... she's the David Brent of house politics.

It kind-of means 'own up to it'. Make it your own. It's not difficult to see how it means accepting that something belongs to you. What does 'own' mean at heart?

I get it but it means they are using it wrong in the house, imo and that's me owning it

It's a way of trying to apportion blame onto someone using technical jargon to make it sound important.

It's also used to describe someone who's skills are evidently superior to their opponents e.g. "Gerard owned the midfield".

KH and Perez were arguing the other day whilst being watched by Kav and Calum. Kav whispered to Calum that Katie was getting the better of Perez. "She owns it" Calum agreed.

How many times did she say 'own it' last night? It appears to be a phrase she has picked only recently, probably from hearing Michelle and Perez who have been heard to use it occasionally throughout the series.

In this context it means to know/embrace something you have done or something about yourself. So Katie wanted Keith to admit he nominated Cami, which he did several times. He couldn't exactly deny it, so I really don't know why she pressed the issue. She had the wrong attitude that if you nominated someone, you couldn't possibly like/sympathise with them, should they eventually be evicted.

This ^^^. It`s a ridiculous thing for a so called 'intelligent' adult to say.

Isn't is yet another annoying "Americanism"?

Not surprising someone like Hopkins, a tedious tabloid hack, overuses it.

It seems to be CBB15's popular phrase in the house. I do wish more people could think for themselves.

I understand the concept of 'owning' something, ie admitting that you believe in it. But the word seems to be used in a different context now - ie 'beat someone else in an argument'.
