Disappointed in the Police Box though, I built a better one than that for my son 5 years ago,

This is news I've wanted for years
I've got some of the character building sets and I love them but I'm going to be going on a shopping spree when these are launched . I'm just waiting for the Lego Doctor Who: The Video game to be annouced

Fantastic.
I stopped collecting lego sets when I was 14 (I still have a load of them gathering dust in my room back home), but I think I will make an exception for Doctor Who.

I like the minifigures more than the sets so, hopefully I'll be able to get all 13 Doctors in mini-figure form.

Hopefully this will lead to a Lego Doctor Who video game

Strange time to do this seeing as Moffat has driven the show into the ground, it's not at all popular around the world anywhere and is about to be cancelled. Will probably be a Limited edition of about 17 sets. Half of them for Moffat and his family and the rest for fanboys like me.

Yay, the possibility of a Lego Doctor Who game gets closer

Not really. This is just a one-off set through LEGO Ideas. Sadly a LEGO Doctor Who game will only become closer if this turns into a range of sets at a later date.

I've just seen this online:

I quite like it, apart from Patrick Troughton's angry look. The Tardis looks quite good, too.

I don't believe we are anywhere near a Lego Doctor Who game. It may be one step closer but there are dozens left to a Lego Doctor Who game. Profitability of the Lego Set, Profitability of multiple lego sets, profitability of the game itself compared to Marvel, DC etc. Licence issues, making a Doctor Who themed game based on the structure of Lego Games. It may do well in the UK but I doubt the same would be the case elsewhere.

Have you been peeking at my Christmas list?
Also, I hear they are actually going to do a Moffat lego man, it will be half put together with a lot of holes.

I think if there's a range at some point, it would rival Star Wars in terms of popularity and a Doctor Who videogame would be inevitable. Traveller's Tales want to do one; of a range ever happens, there will literally be nothing stopping them from creating it.

Doctor Who is incredinlt popular worldwide now. I honestly think if a Doctor Who movie was released alongside a Star Wars film, it would give Star Wars a run for it's money in terms of box office success. A LEGO Doctor Who game would be hugely popular and potentially out-sell LEGO Star Wars.

I already knew about this, but as someone who loves LEGO and Doctor Who, I think this is wonderful news.

Really looking forward to it.
