If not, what series did it start appearing and why?

Pisses me off seeing it EVERY advert break!! The show's on after 9:00 and everyone knows it's got swearing in it. Pointless.

I never noticed them before this series. But they are getting beyond a joke now. We don't need a warning for every single thing.

Everyone complains too much now so we get molly coddled.

I remember them never giving warnings. When dolly entereted the house she said 'open the door you c***s" no one batted an eyelid. Was it bb6?

Why ? it's past 9:00pm, we all know what this show is about, we aren't chlidren. If people are that over sensitive then why do they watch this show ?

Exactly.

Then even though warnings are given and made perfectly clear some will still watch and become offended.

Makes no sense at all to me.

No, I think they've just started doing this. As far as I remember, Channel 4 never used to do it.

Seriously? This is Celebrity Big Brother. People should know what gets said in it by now. It's not aimed at young people, but adults.

I think they're just covering themselves.
Why would they need to cover themselves though? There's other things that are on after the watershed that have bad language in them that don't have warnings about bad language.

If people complain about the language they can turn round and say that they were warned which I think is fair enough.

At least say why you think it's a good idea to warn adults, not young people, that a show that has been running for YEARS has offensive language in it.

I never said you weren't, i was asking you why you feel this way.

Shoving over the top warnings in our faces every 15 minutes is pathetic. Maybe i should start giving warnings every time i step into a room from now on just in case i swear at some point.

BB has been on tv for 15 years now, we don't need warnings. Everyone is well aware of what could be said on this show. If you're not aware then that is tough luck really, it's on at 9:00pm, swearing on tv should be expected at this time of night.

I get what you're saying, but people should know if they've watched past series.

They do it with Wentworth too - makes watching it pointless if they go all descriptive with the warning!

They should have someone else do the warnings for BB/CBB and NOT Marcus Bentley because his delivery is just OTT

It's a Viacom thing - Geordie Shore has the same. I don't like it. It stinks of them saying 'look at how controversial we are - strong language!'

I agree but as I said I think they're just covering themselves... I don't have a problem with it.

I remember a few warnings being given prior to the start of BB last summer but definitely not after each ad break. So tedious.... I agree that those who watch BB tend to be aware of the possibility of 'strong' language, sexual content and nudity and aren't bothered by it. But I also agree that they may have started issuing the warnings to head off OFCOM complaints.

(BIB - made me lol I probably need to walk around with a notice round my neck.... )

The warnings are in connection to the excessive complaints culture. I get the impression people are complaining about "offensive" TV shows in far greater numbers than they ever did before.

The warnings are pathetic. It's a show for adults at 9.00pm. Plenty of other programmes are equally offensive, but don't need to come with a warning. BB's so watered down now anyway, to issue a viewer warning is a complete joke.

Even the supposedly sexist and racist comments that got people removed from the house, pale into insignificance compared to the stuff that ITV3 were showing at 5.30pm in "On The Buses".

I wouldn't mind so much if it was just shown once at the beginning of the show. But it's during every break and it's excessive. No wonder why the HL's are so short these days with all this filler.
